leo, how did you edit the LP?
I understand that we can use SHXCodex to extract and add language into a LP.

leo, maybe the size of LP is too big. What's the start/end offset of the CG4 after you compiled it?

3:58 AM, October 02, 2006 Anonymous said...

start add is 110A0000 & end add is 111F7D3F
when i try to flash it with f&b3 i get an error ..

leo, what's your bootloader version? If 08.A0, don't use FB3 to flash, try rsdlite instead. If 08.D0, most likely you haven't compiled the LP correctly for 08.D0.

Hi Yuet!

I am now living in Beijing and I would like to have an English-to-pinyin dictionary into my L7 to help me learn to have some Chinese conversations. Do you know of any of this app that will work for my L7?

Thank you so much,
Steve

steve, I only have some english-Chinese dictionaries, not sure how many pinyin on them. If you want to try, send me an email.

Yuet, hi!

I wonder if you can compile English, Russian and Simp. Chinese in one LP for my L7. I tried, but that LP just killed my phone - it rebooted into flash mode, so I had to reflash it with a patched monster. Could you help me?

9:48 PM, March 17, 2007 Yuet said...

alex, yes, I can make one. is your firmware R4513?

10:19 PM, March 17, 2007 Anonymous said...

Unfortunately, I tried to build a langpack by myself, but the same problem with missing russian font. Seems that the only way is to get 0B4E - I don't know how they managed to do that.

Donkov, about your problem - what program do you use and what message do you see? Seems that it is a checksum problem - just wait for several minutes until phone reboots.

Alex, I am still trying. let's see if I can get it done.

tugiyo, if your firmware is R373, get R373_0015 LP. If it is R372, get R372_0015 LP.

Do I need to enter the bootloader screen to install LP? Will I lose my data?

10:35 PM, June 10, 2007 Yuet said...

Normally the flashing software will turn your phone into bootloader mode when flashing, so you don't need to do it manually, unless the software can't restart your phone.

You won't lose any data by flashing LP. Only the language will be changed.

I'm looking to get hold of an LP that has UK English and Chinese Simplified and Complex (4D) that will work on a v525.

Am I right in guessing the ones you've hosted won't work for this phone?

10:09 AM, June 22, 2007 Yuet said...

sorry, the files here are only for V360/L7 R4513 firmware.

Hi Yuet!

I'm Molly from Hungary, and some days ago I found your site.
I hope you know to help me.
I tried to put russian language to my 002F langpack, but it doesn't work. When I changed the language I saw black line ewerywhere. I supposed the problem might be have with cirilic caracters. So I changed the method and I put hungarian language beside russian. But after the flash I also had a problem. I saw hungarian words but they were in wrong place. :( So it was bad. What can I do?
Anyway I have 09.02. bootloader (I don't know is it importanat) My Software version: R4513_G_08_B7.ABR (moto V360)

1:58 PM, July 25, 2007 Yuet said...

Molly, Russian font is different from English. So far we are not sure how to transfer the font from lp to lp. I suggest you copy other languages in the 002F LP to the Russian LP.

12:36 AM, July 26, 2007 Anonymous said...

Hello Yuet! I'm Molly again. :)

Thank you for your answer! Everyday I saw the comments and I hoped you wrote the soulution or something about my problem.
Well, I tried to put the Russian
language to 002F. But it didn't work. The reason is the character. It is sure - we know.
But when I tried to put the Hungarian (these characters are very similar to English, except the accents) the words were on wrong places. So the accents worked. What kind of problem do I have?
Anyway my previous phone was a Motorola V300. I learned every modding on it, including the language editing. I could put the Russian to the Hungarian language pack (it was't problem with the cirill characters :? ) But my V300 phone died when I put a wrong software (V3) unfortunatelly. I was sleepy and I made a mistake. :P
Trully, I would like to see Russian beside Hungarian, because of I'm learning Russian language and it would be good if I could change the the language. "Schpravochnik = PhoneBook; Coobschenie = Message...") I adore that language.
Some days ago I tried a crazy thing (don't laugh at me). I sat down, opened a langpack editor twice. (the first was 002F and the second was 0031). In the 0031 I chose the Italian language and I began to modify the Italian words to Hungarian words (I chose the Italian because I don't want to use it, so it was my choice). I copy the first program word to the second hour by hour. I reached about 600. word that was different (I recognized because absolutly different was the Italian and the Hungarian word)So it didn't either work.
I will grab a steak hammer and .... :D
By the way! Perhaps I would have a idea. I read on the net about 000F langpack. It contains Bulgarian and Hungarian language too. But I havn't found anywhere 000F. :(
Can you help me? :'(
Bye.

2:04 PM, July 28, 2007 Yuet said...

Molly, I will try to put Hungarian into Russian LP, and see how it is. I should be able to get back to you in a few days.

Thank you! -Molly

Hi Yuet!

I'm Molly again! ;)

I found the solution. I searched two pack which start so: R4513_G_08.B7.ABR. One of them was LP0031 and the other was LP0035. I grabbed the Hungarian language and put the LP0031. It worked perfectly and the iTAP too.

I feel sorry, I hope I didn't disturb you.
Bye!

glad that you resolved it yourself.
