Transfer files from computer to phone

How to Transfer files from computer to motorola p2k cell phone
I saw this question was quite frequently asked in forums, so I think I should write this post. There are a few ways you can transfer files, such as MP3 or pictures, to your phone.

transfer to memory card
If you have a Trans-flash (TF) card in your phone, you can connect your phone as a removable drive, and copy the files to the folder in the card. Before you connect your phone via usb, you need to select "Memory card" in menu "Connection - USB setting".

transfer via bluetooth
If you have bluetooth in your phone and your computer, you can set up your phone as a bluetooth device in the computer, then use bluetooth to transfer files to your phone. Don't forget to power on the bluetooth on your phone. For Mac users, I have written the following guides.
Set up bluetooth phone on Mac, and
Make your phone a bluetooth hard disk

transfer via p2k software
To use P2K software, you have to first install p2k driver and the p2k software, such as P2KTools. After that, select "Data/Fax mode" in menu "Connection - USB setting", and connect your phone via USB. Your phone should be detected by p2k tools. P2KTools can browse the file system in your phone, and upload/download files to/from your computer.

Download
P2KTools: [4shared] [filecloud] [mofile]

paolo, did your phone prompt you to input pass code? before you can send files via bluetooth, you have to set up your phone as bluetooth device and pair them using the pass code.

paole, good. it's a mac, then I am confident we can sort it out. Have you tried to "browse bluetooth device". Have you try to set up the phone again?

Yes I have several times, setting up goes through to the last screen then says no service available. And browse device does the same as the send file.

then the bluetooth device setup was not successful. Would it be something wrong with your bluetooth dongle? Did you check this post?

sbf you can change the extension to .mp3 or .wav or any file format that is recognized by the phone and upload it to your mobile. After the upload you can use phonemanager or minicommander or any java applet file manager you want to change it back the way it was.

metallus, the problem is the moto bluetooth system won't accept invalid file. It actually try to process the receiving file. (install the jar/open picture/play sound.) If it can't, it removes the file. I am still trying to find a solution for it.

SBF, you need to use the bluetooth "browse device" feature at your computer to access your phone folders, then transfer files. read this post.

Why not try mTools, a product built by Guiang Corpoation, which is the latest one?
