In my MP, I re-map the 2 side keys. Voice key = Red key and Smart Key = Fire key.

yes, if you have the flash file of your original firmware. or you can flash to other moto v360 stock firmwares.

hey yuet greetings from croatia, europe. your yuetmod 1.3 is absolutely fantastic, my phone is now much much beter than any other motorola with stock settings... i have one question for you, can you enable rythm lights on v360, i tried it with seem editing but it didnt worked. i 've also tried it on razr v3 and it is working... i tried to upload different funlight.pat on many different places, and it is just not working... btw, this thing with ptt is really cool
Hi, friend from Croatia. If I am not wrong, the only light available in V360 is the keypad blue light. I don't think it is useful to enable it. I have never tried to enable it before.
BTW, your national soccer team didn't do well in this world cup. I like the Croatian team when there was Boban & Suker.

ituns is 2.8. It has artworks because I copy the itunes db from an e398@rokr.

Did you flash the ABR flash for L7? After flashing this L7 ABR flash, and before flashing other files, is your phone working?
no, after flashing,my L7 does not work i flashed my L7 as u said above but it does not work , i fashed .1st STEP as u reccomend but all r use less plz give me ideas.
Are u sure you were flashing the ABR flash for L7? What is the file name of the flash file after unzip?

Did u do Step 1? You should first download the ABR flash for L7 and flash it, before proceed to step 2. In your list of files, none of them is the L7 ABR flash.
You should not flash the 3rd file, which is for 08.A0 bootloader.

Hi, my Indian friend. Regarding artworks in iTunes, it is a bit tricky. I have an E398@Rokr, with which I can create iTunes DB with artworks. Then I copy the DB files from E398 to the V360.
I never download games from internet via mobile, so I am not sure how it works. However, I know a few other ways to install games/apps from PC/Mac to phone. Read [How to install java games & apps]
Thank you so much Yuet. This does everything I was trying to get my phone to do from one place. I did have a question related to the "Dictaphone" app on here though. I can't get it to turn off the backlight unless I close the phone which is sometimes undesirable in situations requiring maximum audio pickup (as it covers the mic). Basically, it doesn't respect the parameters given to it and with some of them I have no clue what they are supposed to do. ("Flash sidebands" comes to mind). "Backlight off delay" is set to 00:00:03:000 and "Backlight off style" is "Display and keypad". Despite exercising every variation of these options, no functionality changes. Even when I explicitly select Turn Off Backlight while recording, it still does nothing. I'm assuming this was written for a different phone and that these options aren't designed for the V360. I still haven't found anything else that records and saves audio for this phone and wouldn't know right now how to write something for the phone so I'm grateful for this app but an hour of recording with the backlight on drains the battery much more than w/o.
This has to have been one of the main reasons I got the phone and was very disapointed when the only stock option was to send a crummy voice message in a message when a.) I have 1GB mSD card and b.) which would be inconvenient and cost me $. It's close to fraud the way this was advertised with "voice memo functionality" since it's really only multimedia messaging that it does.
Fortunately, while I couldn't find something like Dictaphone, *you did* and released it in this amazing way so a million thanks to you!
Seàn, you are right that dictaphone is not specifically written for V360, so some of the system-related functions, such as turn off backlight, are not working. I am not the one who write dictaphone, so I can't do anything on this. Anyway, I have some suggestions:
1. record with flip closed shouldn't affect the audio pickup too much.
2. you can set backligh off in Setting->Java setting, so all java apps will be running with backlight off.
I agree with you that motorola should provide native voice recording function in V360, as it is promoted as a multimedia phone.

I'll poke around a bit more and I'll certainly keep you posted should I come across a better solution (different app, new version or modding it somehow).
jorge kuri, don't worry. I think it is a bad USB port or PC. Try to flash it with RSDLite again, but using another USB port (those behind the PC) or even flash it with another PC.

Yes, you use p2k program like p2k tools to edit seem and write it to phone. Once you write the updated seem to phone, the "battery backup" will be lost. Therefore, you should always save the seem to a file as a backup, before updating the seem to phone.

I was wondering if your monster pack allows flawless playback of videos that have been converted on a pc and then transfered to the v360. Normally, the video playback of the v360 is very choppy when playing converted videos over 5 minutes and it can take over a minute to stop the video.

jorge, your phone has 08.A0 bootloader. You should actually flash [YuetMod v1.3], which is a fullflash that you can flash by one go. Why chose the harder way? :>

Regarding flawless playback of videos in my MP, some people say it is better, some say no difference. I don't have a conslusion on this. I think it something subjective, so you should try it yourself to find out.

usb charging is disabled purposely in my MP. you can seem edit to get it back. read [V360 SEEM].
for modem connection, you have to setup the websession for your network after flashing my MP.

Yeah I'm not sure how to fix the video player in the phone, but to be able to play actual movies would allow us to get the most out of the v360. Are there any different video player java apps for the v360?

Great Flex, but I dislike unstandart smart keys seem, I try with PkMeny editor return default settings for internet browser key(return, but anyway start video kamera), it will be nice if next flex returns standart keyboard layout
you won't have the flip-close functions with standard key setting.

yes, it works for both L7 & V360.
its an awsome mod but now my L7 is recognized as a V360, is there any wai to make it a L7 again? And is it possible to use MPT wit this mod?
Basically it doesn't matter at all. If you like, you can change it back to L7, by changing the seem 0117. I don't have chance to test it with MPT, since I don't have a L7 and I don't use MPT.

keon35, I have to say it is not tested on your phone, so you have to take the risk. BTW, have you successfully flashed to any L7 firmware with 08.D0 ramloader before? If you can flash to the stock ABR firmware in step 1, you should be able to flash to my Flex file.
try using flashbackup 3 to backup/restore your phone's firmware. If backup/restore is successful, it is safe to try my MP. Get [flashbackkup 3]

Yuet! Great MP! just flashed my L7 and it works great! The menu is much more faster and responsive and i like the unltd vid recording too.. Just a question.. My phone gets detected as a V360.. u mentioned somethin abt doin a seem edit on 0117.. could u be a bit more specific? thnks a ton for the MP man!

It doesn't matter which is newer. Each firmware may have some special features. It depends on what features you want. The special things in ABR are unlimited video & ringtones from TF card.

mad-x, good that you like it. basically you need to Hex edit the seem 0117_0001, to change the text from V360 to L7. Wouldn't it be easier if I upload the seem for L7? I will do it. Come back and check later.
looking forward to that seem.. oh and one more thing yuet.. ,y "Web sessions" icon's been replaced with Vodafone Live!. This is quite irritating as i am from india and have nothing to do whatsoever with vodafone..
and.. gosh i almost forgot.. i read somewhere that it is possible to assign a menu icon for iTunes.. pretty complicated stuff so i dint bother to try it out.. wonder if you could ;)

if you can find a retail L7 ABR firmware, you can get rid of the Vodafone Live.
for iTunes menu, it is fake one. Both methods make use of the shortcut to start iTunes. It makes no difference than Menu+5. As my MP uses shortcut for flip-close menu, I don't want to change shortcut to iTunes. With my MP, you can just set smartkey to launch shortcuts, then make iTunes the first shortcut.
just noticed that the WAP browser splash screen's gone :( i really liked that animation.. how can i bring it back?
Also, i noticed that the macOSXtiger and panther skins aint showing the date and operator name..

You should use RSDLite to flash. Flashbackup is not reliable for flashing V360/L7.
Don't worry, re-flash it with RSDLite will be successful.

What do u mean? USB drive? you can set it in USB setting. USB charging? usb charging is disabled in my MP, but you can enable it with a seem edit. Read my seem edit guide to find out.
Regarding Vodafone Live!, I think maybe you can get rid of it by editing the LangPack. try Random's langPack editor. For Lesjaw, it just a name of the menu item, you can still setup your own websession. good luck flashing.

Before i flashed u MP, everytime i installed a new skin with icons, there were icons didn't change, they were USB Setting, video camera, Voice Dial etc, and this happens adjactly with urs, i guess it because the skins didn't provide those icons, so when we used those skins and if the icons didn't exist in the skins then the icons will be taken from the default icon in DRM, am right?
and if i used 3x3 skins there was an extra folder icon
My Question are :
1. How do i changes those icon ? (USB Setting, Video Camera, Extra Folder etc - (the default icon in DRM graphics)
2. Can I provide thos icons in the skin file?
3. Can u give me a list of graphics file with their description? (maybe only the icons file, since i know only the half of them)
4. How to extract DRM graphics? (CG 15)

first time heard that video camera not working. do u have a TF card? can you format your tf card and try again. Maybe you can try to re-flash the MP.
Lesjaw, those icons are in DRM, they can't be put in skin. I can write up something for DRM editing, but it is a long topic, so I will do it some time later. Come back and check it please.

and thats a shame. I get critical error 84 while doing Step 1. Lucky for me i had a backup of the original firmware.
what's your bootloader version? that's the most important thing to check.
I got the 08.D0 bootloader.
1. same error on different usb-port
2. other error "critical error 10 39"
flashing to the backup made with flash&backup works tho so phone still works. thank god for that program.

A: I don't understand your question? Why you can't get date to show? It is a basic function in Motorola phone.
i dont know why, so far, ive been able to get the date on my phoen to show with your flex, otherwise i never get it, even if i try diffrent skins, or the seem edits, or patch it with skiman or anything. i have no idea why :S
Im having trouble, My V360 won't connect to the program, I can't really explain the error being a noob except that a word document with a bunch of jibberish pops up then an empty program, heh. :/

k0ss, that means EDGE. in v1.6, you use "iTunes DB creator" in iTunes to build playlist directly. mototunes no longer required. I will write a short guide later.
Anonymous, please check your MMS setting in message setup. and have you setup the websession? you can contact your provider for help.

Thanks for the info! I went to use the itunes DB creator and it hangs at 0%. I have a 512mb card in my phone, what could cause that? I also noticed when I went to start the DB creator there is text below the list of "Playlist, Artists, Albums, Songs" are blacked out but I see the "Cancel/Yes" at the bottom.

My phone now says that it is a v360 not an L7 anymore. Why? Also i flashed the 1.6d cause my bootloader is 08.D0 mainly for the ptt service to be on my phone but when i found it i can only turn it on/off. on my other L7 the left side button is the ptt button and when i press it there is a ptt contact list. Where is that list on this phone?
Jhester1967, read the last paragraph of this post to see how to change model from V360 to L7, and also read [V360 Seem] to find out how to enable the PTT key.
hi your MP looks good but when i boot my L7 it asks me my SIM PIN so i put it but it says it's an incorrect SIM PIN... do you have an idea to fix it?

I didn't set any sim pin. the only codes are the followings, which is moto default code:
Phone lock code: 1234
Phone security code: 000000

I can't seem to switch my Reminder sound from "OFF", i choose "Beep" and it says it'd set it to "beep" but it stays off in the menu.

So i flash it to ABR. When in RSD Lite prgram flashing it to ABR. Suddenly it come out error! Now my motorola L7 display:

Did you try flashing it again? And did you do a backup before?
You should be able to flash it when in the bootloader (hold * and # then turn the cell on). If you're smart and have a backup, try flashing that. If not, try any other flash.
synan, I have no idea about the reminder setting, because it works fine for me. Menu+* will lock the keypad and turn off the backlight, Menu+* again will unlock it and turn on the backlight.
For flashing problem, you can fix it by flashing again. try using another usb port or another PC to flash. If flashing ABR failed again, try other firmware like 5AR.

yeah, it does just that with the Menu-*, but it used to light up for a moment and say "press this and this to unlock" if you pressed anything while it was locked, now it doesn't do that. Whatever you press (cept the Menu-*) it just stays dark. Doesn't bother me much, just noticed the difference.

CRV1600, I read that post in another forum before, and I know how it works, but those methods sacrifice the shortcuts. It is a fake iTunes menu, not a real one. Shortcuts is very important in my MP for flip-close operation, so I don't consider to apply those method.
hi your MP looks good but when i boot my L7 it asks me my SIM PIN so i put it but it says it's an incorrect SIM PIN... do you have an idea to fix it?
==> i fix it.. i just reflash it it's not a problem with the contry etc (i'm from france) and the basics code are the sames but in a forum i learnt that it can happen sometimes but reflashing it fix the problem.
Awesome MP Yuet! Thanks for the update to the itunes. I do have one question for you, I don't know if you use/tested the bluetooth of 1.7d but I am unable to get it working. I may be doing something wrong but they are the same steps I used when I got the phone and when I upgraded to 1.6.
I am able to activate bt on the phone and headset along with getting the phone to see the headset but it is never able to connect.
Every once in awhile when I try to pair the devices the phone sees the following: "Seeking 000C55B6D512"
No matter what it always hangs after I pair the headset at the "Seeking Motrola H500".
Any ideas?

Yes, I deleted the profile a number of times. Along with restarting the phone/headset and trying to pair them again.
I may reload the backup I have and see if it works there, which it did yesterday until I flashed 1.7d.
I also am having problems sending picture messages but I saw you gave suggestions to another post which I will have to try.
Not sure what to do now so any suggestions would be great...

K0ss, that's very strange. I didn't do anything about it in v1.7. :) anyway, there's not much difference from 1.6 to 1.7. Just apply the iTunes fix.

No, I don't mean that you need to upgrade. It is your choice whether to upgrade.

For people having the problem of no ring when receiving calls/messages, please try to set "ringer ID" off in the ringstyle setting. If you set it on, make sure the ringer IDs for phonebook entries/categories are not silent.

switch off your phone.
press and hold # and * keys, then power on the phone. It should go into the bootloader screen. Connect your phone to computer and use RSDLite to flash again. You may want to connect using a different USB port.
please make sure:
- battery is not low
- you flashing the correct file
- your bootloader is 08.D0
what do i do if my battery is low??...i tried charging it and it wont charge.
no choice, you have to find a desktop charger or a working L7 to charge the battery.
CRV1600, are you still using v1.6? there's a bug in it. you can upgrade to v1.7 or apply this fix.

louis, do u have a L7 or V360? what version of motomidman are you using? try to get the version of motomidman, that I am using, from this post.
I don't use skiman. I usually use p2ktools to create skin folder, then upload skin files into the folder.

I use ur motomidman version but nothing change. I still have my problem to installe java.
And with P2Ktols, when I installe the skin 3DBoss, I loose some icons for other skins like yours.

also, replacing skin won't replace those icons in DRM. read my DRM Edit guide for some more details.

i have a strange qs. Recently i used SanDisk 128mb on my L7, played with iTunes smooth. And now i bought this Kingston 512mb as i insert into my L7, format it, then starting to adding mp3 using MotoTunes. Then i plug off n started to listen. It went strange. I listen to 1st track song, then when end as going for 2nd track song it jus didnt play and it went on to 3rd track...on to 4th track...n so on till back to previous iTunes menu. any idea? I inserted my previous 128mb, now it went the same thing... any idea yuet?.. sorry.

I found now my previous 128mb sandisk working now but not Kingston 512mb. I think bcuz of that 512mb problem. I did try everything u said. Still the same. Thanks!
CRV & nick, try delete the iTunes folder in the TF card, then copy songs to /mobile/audio folder in TF card. After than, use the iTunes DB creator or mobile mototunes to create the playlist. Don't use the mototunes on PC.

My also Kingston, i found out Kingston 512mb not really compatible, xchange twice and still the same but once insert Sandisk type, works charming. Go for Sandisk. Sorry.

glasses, did you read the last paragraph of this post? you can change the phone model from V360 to L7. If you really want to go back to original firmware, you need to find & flash to the moto stock MP, which has the same version as your original firmware.

I have S/W version R4513_G_08.B7.B7R and Flex GSTV360TMB01NA155 and 08.D0 bootloader V1.7D should work just fine if I follow your directions carefully? I already have airplane mode on this phone on my phone and was wondering if I would lose this if I upgraded to v1.7D is this just a newer software version or do All V360's have airplane mode? I have T-Mobile. Just got the phone yesterday after I had to send in my old V360 for repair.

jennifer, if you flash to v1.7d, you will lose the airplane mode. You may want to check out [YuetMod v2.0], before you decide which MP to flash.
If you decide to go for v1.7d, be reminded that somebody had problem flashing from B7R to ABR directly. They need to flash B7R to 5AR, before they can flash to ABR. However, some other people say they have no problem flashing from B7R to ABR directly. Good luck. :)
JB, have you read [my seem handbook]? did you set the PTT key in seem 005b_0001? and one more basic thing, does your carrier provide PTT service? and have you subscribed to use the service?
Hi Yuet, my name is Dan Tan our MP is a very nice one, salute to you. if you don;t mind, is there a way to increase the network signal. The signal at my house is really poor with my L7. it works fine with my A1200 and V3 but not with L7. Any idea/firmware to increase the signal reception.

Dan, try changing Band in Network setup to 850/1900, instead of automatic. you can also try to change Speed to fast.

I have a phone with YuetMod 1.4. I got the unlock information from TMobile as follows:
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your Motorola device.
Before you start you must have a foreign (non-T Mobile) SIM card entered into the handset. If the display reads "Enter Special Code", enter the unlock code and press "OK". If the display does not ask for Special code, please enter the instructions below.
1.Press the Menu key on the keypad, and then quickly press 073887*.You should see the Enter Security Code screen.
2.Enter 000000 and select OK.
3.Scroll to Unlock SIM select it.
4.Enter the SIM unlock code and select OK.
5.Press the End key to return to the main screen.
NOTE: If the phone displays, "Please wait to enter special code" or "Contact service provider," you will have to wait for it to change back. Please be aware that the phone must stay powered on to do this. If the battery is low, be sure to plug it in. It could take 15 minutes to an hour to change back. If the phone does not change back, the handset will need to be replaced.

Same instructions worked for Razr V3, but Menu + 073887* on V360 does not bring up any menu. Has anyone else faced the problem? Any solutions?
I don't understand what you are trying to do. Can you use your SIM now? if yes, why would you want to do this procedure?
If your phone was locked before flashing to v1.7d, you should have done this procedure before flashing. If your phone was already unlocked before flashing, you don't need to do this procedure again.

Louis, no, the bootloader of v360/L7 is more advanced (hard-to-crack), that prevent us from changing that screen.

1) i have 2 Vodafone live! menu and Mobile QQ .. how do i change/remove/modify it?
2) how do i make my PC recognize my phone as an L7? i know it's not such a big deal, but i prefer it to be detected as an SLVR L7 ..
3) as stated by HANS, how do i set the camera key to its original function?
4) the button below the volume keys, from my stock firmware, it's supposed to be a Bluetooth Configuration, how can i set it back to it's original function?
5) last, i'm not to familiar with the SEEM edit thingie (if ever i have to do that) ..

nope .. i didn't change the mma_ucp .. i just followed the instructions on how to install v1.7d
as of the 2 Vodafone Live! and Mobile QQ, its in the WebAccess section if i'm not mistaken .. though i reverted back to my stock firmware since i have no clue as how i can fix this ..
though i really would love to use the MP ..
Well Yuet since you are one of the Pro with L7 modding I got a question for you...do you know how to change the defaul key press of # to another. For example if I key press # it change to vibro mode but i would prefer to have silent insted. Do you know how?.

hi yuet, i used to use your old 1.2-1.3mp on my v360 but i've sold my v360 and was wanting to get a new phone or a e398 (i love he sounds on it hehe and flash etc...) but my sister has recently got her L7 and it's a unlocked mobile. She was wanting to upgrade her phone as i told her and she agreed. This is some info about her phone:

i don't want to stuff her phone up or else i will have to pay $400 for it which will set me back alot. Just making things sure like first i have to flash to R4513_G_08.B7.ABR using RSD Lite 3.0 (i got the latest one hehe) and then i must upgrade to YuetMod v1.7d then YuetMod v1.4?

first fully charge the battery, after that, you have to flash to L7 version of R4513_G_08.B7.ABR using RSD Lite 3.0 (latest isn't always the best, hehe) and then flash to YuetMod v1.7d? (There's no need to flash to v1.4d, unless you like v1.4d more than v1.7d.)
If you follow this proceducres, it will be ok, and your phone should turn on. Please backup your phone in SHX format using flashbackup 3. You can then restore the SHX file to your phone using FB3.
