 | TEN steps to unlock your v360 PHONE (and maybe others) Lord Dizzy's Easy Method |
Steps:
1. Make sure you have Yuet v2.2.1 MP in your mobile / Drivers for your OS already installed;
2. Open P2K Easy Tool, chose "your phone" as your phone model then click on "Flash SHX" checkmark;
3. Select and Flash the "R4513_G_08.B7.DAR_RB_Lang0031_reflash_MOTOX.shx" file (Do Selected Jobs)
4. Now the phone is in "S Blank Neptune LTE2" mode.
5. Go to "Repair TAB" and check Full repair PDS zone and "Do Selected Jobs"
6. For the moment, I don't know if that is just enough to unlock your phone. So, just to be sure:
6.1. Go to "Locks TAB", check "Unlock SP" and then "Do Selected Jobs"
6.2. Now do again the STEP 5, or else your phone will start for a short time with MOTO logo and then shut itself off.
7. Open Flash Backup, select correctly the "Active phone profile" for your phone, and go to "Write data TAB"
8. "Select flash file", and open Yuet v2.2.1
9. Unselect CG1, CG2, CG15 and click "Write data". This only takes few seconds to write back!
10. Your phone is NOW fully unlocked and fully functional with Yuet's MP v2.2.1
Notes (tips & tricks):
1. FULLY CHARGE your BATTERY first. My battery was still full after doing this, but it's better to be sure...
2. Once in "S Blank Neptune LTE2", the phone can be unlocked/rapair PDS without the battery. Its self USB powered!
3. When connecting your phone, always have RSD Lite running and then close it. It will give an "HAB 0x84" error, but that will switch the BL from 0000 to 0300. It is important to be 0300 for P2K Easy Tool to work correctly.
4. After each operation with P2K Easy Tool, you will need to restart the program and reconnect the USB cable, as the P2K Easy Tool shuts off the phone, and you'll need it to be redetected by RSD Lite as "S Blank Neptune LTE2" BL 0300.
5. At STEP 7 you don't need to have RSD Lite running; Flash Backup is smart enough...
6. You may reflash with other Language Packages, but I have not tested.
7. Programs needed: P2K Easy Tool v3.9; Flash Backup v3.0.2; "R4513_G_08.B7.DAR_RB_Lang0031_reflash_MOTOX.shx" file
8. All programs measures ~3.25MB, and if you know what to do this method unlocks your phone in 5 minutes, as there is no large file sent to the mobile.
9. At least, this file contains CG4 and CG7. I think that CG7 is ALL responsible for this, as I see same CG7 in Yuet's unlocking method.

I just did a master clear & master reset and my settings -> connection -> usb settings menu gone. Only bluetooth and sync I have there. What are my options to get back this usb menu? Without it I can't set the connection type from TF card to AT command set and I can't edit seems...

caio garcia, yes, of course.
Gergely, before connect your phone via usb. start Rsd lite or motomidman first, then connect your phone. these 2 programs will turn your phone into data mode even though your usb setting is "memory card" mode. after that you can start p2ktools to restore seems.

sebasimp, I think you have to use yuetmod flash.

You have to checkout svn version first:

Then use patch -p1 <xxx.patch
But I submitted it for inclusion, so maybe it will appear in the next version or in the unstable svn version soon.

Hey yuet, I tried the lord_dizzy's method on my cousin's v360..
I tried to figure out each step.. and eventhough they need to be cleared a bit more, i had the chance to unlock the phone.. after i figured out what the issues were, i was able to unlock it in 5 minutes.. really easy and safe..

I didn't want to bug you at your gmail account and figured a response to this should probably be listed somewhere on your blog for your / other's interests.
Without further ado: Have you found any other commonalties among 2gb microSD cards that work with the v360? It's ridiculous how I've never had an issue with any size up to 1gb but with 2gb there seems to be some random predjudice all mobile phone firmwares have (not just moto) against 2gb tf cards. My last card was stolen from a room mate after I showed him how to change phone memory (a lovely thanks, I know!).
I can get another card for 19.99 for 2gb so I did. But now I can't find a card that works!! For it's worth I just got home with a 2GB microSD / TransFlash SanDisk SDSDQ-2048-A10M and I get an error despite it working fine on my G4 with all partitioning (made ~400mb splits of it after it didn't work with 1 2gb partition etc) and formatting possibilities (it came formatted FAT 16 anyway) that the phone can neither access or format the card! The phone says "Storage device unreadable. Format now?" I select OK -> Yes. "Format failed. Try again" Yes. Yes. Yes... Failed. No. )o:
Any bright ideas anybody? Does anyone want a 2GB card for cheap!?

I need a fast download and no frills just functionality. I have a dial up connection and the normal MP sizes are just out of my range of possibilities.
2. Which tool do you recommend to flash my phone?
I have: Backup&Flash 3 and MultiFlexFlash. Will these do?
3. If I am in the middle of a flash and my system goes down, have I ruined my phone?
4. Can you tell me where I can get just a copy of the mma_ucp file for my phone?
My searches have yielded nothing.
Any help or advise you could give me would be welcome. Thank You in advance.

sean, regarding the card, my advice is always try it before paying.
for E1 user, 1. I am not familiar with E1 MPs. you 42R is too old, you should try 46R-49R. even the stock moto firmware. 2. I recommend RSD Lite. 3. No. turn it into bootloader mode then flash again. 4. I don't know. why not edit it yourself?

after you got s blank neptune lte2, use P2K easy tool to repair PDS, then flash a MP.
After I did the 3rd step, my phone will no longer power on. Anyone have any suggestions?
Update: After about an hour of trying different stuff, I took out the battery put it back in, and pressing the power button to "power it on", I realized that Flash Backup recognized the phone (some-what the same as Yuet said in his Tips). Followed the rest of the guide, and phone is back working like a charm. No way to test it though...

I have a v360 with BL 09.02 and firmware AER, after read all about this fatal combination, I have a question for you:
If we follow this 10 step guide for this phone but in place of "Yuet v2.2.1 MP" using "Yuet v4 MP for AER", is possible that we can unlock this phone without testpoint?

bandido, if you try, you should still try v2.2.1 instead of v4.0. (you will get error after flashing v2.2.1, but you should get into bootloader mode, then proceed.) v4.0 is not RSA-patched, it can't be used for getting S blank neptune LTE2. No reliable software method was found for 09.02 phone yet, but it is possible, as I saw quite a number of people accidentally got S blank neptune with 09.02 phone after the flashing failed.
You can always flash back to your original firmware if the steps failed.

bandido, yes you can change 09.02 to 08.A0, and it will work. but now the only reliable way to get s blank neptune lte2 for 09.02 is by testpoint.

I've heard you were interested in making this work for other LTE2 phones, and I happen to have found a working and stable way to get blank mode for the V235/V237. It's like this one but involves a different flash file.
If you want it, tell me.
lezzard, the flash file won't help much, but if you know the theory behind the flash file, it will definitely help.
OK sry I thought you wanted to collect these flash files for LTE2 phones.
As for the theory, I have isolated 8 bytes that trigger a blank mode on the V235/V237 (08.E0) so I'm going to test if this method works on the V360 (08.E0)

This method works to unlock, get rid of AER. The only problem for me is that i cant find a working MP.

When I connect my V360 to RSD Lite, I get the S Blank Neptune LTE2 device. Does it mean my cell phone is unlocked?
They are saying to test with another sim card to check my cell phone. But, I do not have any other sim card.
