This is not considered an upgrade of YuetMod v1.x series. Instead, it is an alternative.
What's Airplane mode?
Turn on Airplane mode will shut off all the signal for GSM, GPRS & Bluetooth network. The main purpose is to avoid interference with Global Positioning system during airplane flight. It can be used in other area where cell phone signal is restricted, such as hospital. You can also turn on airplane mode when you are sleeping; before giving your cell phone to a child; when you don't want disturbance but want to use other functions of the phone, etc ...
To use MotoMidMan with v2.1, add "YuetMod" to Mode2 in MotoMidMan.ini file, as follows:

yes, granting full permission is not allowed with this firmware, so iTunes & those apps like phone manager are not compatible.
BlackAngel, the original firmware will lock your phone and it is a personal backup, so I won't upload it.
yoki, it is quite complicated. I didn't try it yet. if you really want to try, go mac.themotoguide.
Great to finally have "airplane mode"! However, I am also in need of "itunes". What do you use to play mp3 then? Are bookreaders such as motoreader & moto-txt still compatible with this firmware?

I am not in favour of iTunes because 1. no flip-close operation, 2. cannot run together with other java applications.
motoreader & moto-txt are not compatible, but my YuetReader is. Try it.
v360user, I don't think you can install iTunes in this firmware. I would have installed it if it can.
Yestarday i had problems with yuet 2.0, couldn't back to the other monsters. After an hour of tests i found original Orange polish monster and i could flash phone with this MP. Nothing else i couldnt use, phone was freezing on BL.

There seems to be several firmware's mentioned that could be used to flash v360. Is there some web page one can go to to see explanations of these versions? Isn't one of them (most recent?) to be preferred. If I am going to flash my v360, I would want the 'best' firmware. :)

agree, if you don't want Airplane mode, YuetMod v1.x is better than this.
Rick, only yourself can find out which is the 'best' for yourself. For my own MPs, I think I have explained them in very details.
Yuet, I did not mean that you haven't explained the MP's. The descriptions are very good.
I meant specifically the firmware - like 86R, ABR, etc. You're not doing those, right? Are those versions from Motorola? or where/whom?

Thank's bro, aslong I can do this with V360 TMob that's fine. Mac.themotoguide really give clear instruction, although I have to play around with terminal. I have dream my v360 will the same theme with my iBook :p, mmmmhh wish they also had white version of v360 :D
Rick, there's too many firmware out there. to name a few. 2ER, 56R, 58R, 5AR, 5BR, 86R, ABR, ACR, AER & B7R. I believe 86R, AER & B7R are custom-made for carriers. 2ER/56R/5AR/58R are retail versions in Asia/Europe/China. There is nothing special in these firmwares. ABR is good because if has unlimited video, ringtons on TF card and able to grant permission for java apps. Apart from these, firmware from V360I can also be used in V360, such as 0FR or 07R. There are custom-made for China mobile. Special things in 0FR/07R are USB charging option/Chinese lunar calendar in datebook and also unlimited video. All those custom-made firmwares do not allow granting full permission to java apps. Ok, these are all I know.

Hi yuet. I just installed your 2'nd MP on a V360. I think it's great.It's really nice what u're doing....you put a whole lot of work into this MP's. Unfortunatly, ia have a slight problem: neither miniOpera nor IM want to connect.From miniOpera i recive the following error message:"You do not have a working network connection. error: 3.0.10:80" but the wap browser works just fine.And there is no problem with the settings..I am sure. What could be the problem?Can it be that my JAVA system is not connected to wap?

- It's faster than ABR(I have a 1 gig and it loads faster)
- It supports system sound changing
like scrolling and other things.

A2DP? is it stereo via bluetooth? my impression is V360 does support it. I did a google, and I found this piece of info:
"The Bluetooth Stereo headphones can receive music from any Bluetooth-enabled device that supports the new Advance Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), thus widening the range of potential music sources. For example, use the Motorola DC800/ 98729H/ 98690 Bluetooth Home Stereo Adapter with your in-home stereo sound system! Some MP3 players are now becoming Bluetooth A2DP profile enabled as well. The Motorola V360 cell phone, and the Audiovox PPC-6600/ PPC6700 cell phones also support the Bluetooth A2DP profile."

Please be very carefull with this MP version! I have tried to flash v2.0 and then back to 1.7!!! After flashing back phone could not get out of flash mode (even after several reboots and removing battery)! I think it is because of R4513 new version! So finaly, I had to flash it to 2.0 again! :(

I love the new firmware - airplane mode lets me keep my phone on overnight and not drain the battery (very spotty service). The only thing I liked about iTunes was the ability to pause from the home screen (although it'd be another story if I could get the desktop iTunes to recognize my v360 as an iPod). Thanks so much for your work!
yuet, I have reflashed back from 2.0 to 1.7a without any problem. I have used rsd lite 3.0. Diz, have you used flashbabackup or rsd lite?

Brettstar, I will definitely put those profiles in ABR if there is next version of v1.7. :) For GPRS issue, I think you can fix it by enabling auto-attach of GPRS at power-on. please read my seem handbook for detail.
Yuet!Same problem happens to me ,when I flash V1.6 after use V2.0. The screen in v360 stays in Dos-like picture.So I have to flash 58R back. Actually，airplane mode is so attractive to me but those java I like....,so I use V1.7 now.Thank you for making such creative monsters to make V360 interesting. Excepted next version of yuetmode！

Also, what do you use to create your shx file? I use ShxCodec 2.66 to split your MP SHX file then immediately compile back to .shx without any changes. RSD won't flash after that.
ec, cg1 is same if the firmware version is same.
is your phone 08.D0? It is not so straightforward to compile MP for 08.D0. need more time to explain.
My old firmware version is the same so I flashed your MP2 then use flashbackup to restore the rest cg (except cg1). Everything looks original now.
My bootloader is 08.D0. If you can show how I can compile MP for 08.D0, that will be awesome.
Yes indeed Yuet! You were right again! I managed to fix my phone back to 1.7 after I had 2.0! Downgrading from 2.0 to 1.7 must be made trough a 5AR firmware!!!
Can anyone tell me what MP provided the best recipetion. Right now I feel like I need to return my phone because the reception is so bad and it crackles and I can hear crackling in the background sometimes.

I was using your MP 2.0 which was the 87.87 but now I using your 1.7d because I have 8.D0 bootloader. so far I'm getting better reception...we'll have to see
Well I went back to 2.0 because 1.7 made it worse. almost to the point where I didn't get service at all. this is really said because I love the phone, but if i can't use, theres no point in keeping it
You may want to try setting network band as 850/1900 instead of automatic, and set speed to fast. These settings are in Network->network setup. see if it helps.
it gets worse when i increase the speed, I'm on slow right now, and I was using medium. I don't know, maybe I have a dub and should just send it back to get a new one.

Francisco, I added my explanation of airplane mode in the post, and I think the differnce between v2.0 & v1.7 is already described in the post.
Maybe it's just my phone but after the flash if i want to set up a new web session or edit one of the ones you had already set up a few of the entry areas are messed up.
1. homepage: will only allow numbers to be entered 123
2 and then on my proxies/Gateway IDs those used to be numbers I entered and now it's not allows letters too... I think maybe those got switched somehow???
jason, it is a known issue. I think you have to hex edit the websession file to input the homepage.

stolla, I am 100% sure the MP won't lock your phone to any network. I don't come across the LP0002 anywhere.
Regarding the websession... do I just need to unlock it? or what edits would I need to to make. I must not be doing something right. I downloaded the websession and then uploaded the changes but it still only allows for 123 input. When you are not so busy could you do a quick run down of what I need to edit, becacause it just keeps popping back to the darn 123 for the homepage.
jason, you have to put in the homepage url into the websession file when you hex edit it. It is not difficult, follow me:
1. put 99999 as homepage in websession
2. download the new websession file
3. hex edit it. (save a copy b4 editing)
4. look for 9.9.9.9.9. in the right text area.
5. replace it with your url. The rule is that you must leave a dot (00 in hex) in between of the characters. after that you should have something like h.t.t.p.:././.y.u.e.t.b.l.o.g... (just an example)
6. save the file and put in back to your phone.
Hi Yuet, I have been using your monster packs from 1.5 to 2.0, which I installed today. After fooling around a bit I decided to revert back to 1.7, and used the 5AR firmware that I found a link to on your blog. Evereything worked well, after originally not being able to go back to 1.7, except that the 5AR firmware found on your link has no support for Chinese. Do you know where I can download 5AR firmware that will restore Chinese ability? I am a native English speaker, but live in Taiwan. Thanks for all the work you do for all of us, you are great.
This is they guy from Taiwan again. I managed to install a language pack, so I have Chinese back again. Just one question, now I show 0015, instead of 0016 for the language pack. Is there much difference between the two.
PS. I also try to leave my id when i post here with the other function, but it does not seem to work for me.
amtai, according to this post, 0015 is simplified Chinese, while 0016 is traditional Chinese.
regarding posting comments, I am also not sure about the "other" function, I did a test and it works. Anyway, I can see your comment shows "amtai said" instead of "Anonymous said" now.

from a site I found in your blog. (The file name above is copied and pasted from the name of the file I downloaded.)
But, when I flashed the phone, it shows 0015. Not the fault of your monster pack I know, but something wrong with file names on that site, I guess.

offhand I don't have 0016. I think you should have backup your LP before flashing. The nearest I can get is 004D.

Learning how to back up the LP is next on my agenda. I have been working with computers for 26 years, but never played around with a cell phone before.
Exactly what is 004D? And before I run for the hills, I know I should have looked that up. No big deal here, the phone is working fine, and as far as I can see from incoming messages, traditional Chinese shows up fine.

amtai, if 0015 is sufficient for you, I don't think you should flash again. I never used 0016, so I don't know the difference. in 004D, you will have both simplified and traditional Chinese, but the input is always traditional Chinese, even though you selected simplified Chinese. With 0015, you can input simplified Chinese. If you don't input Chinese, I think there's no difference between 0015 and 004D or even 0016. They should all be able to view both, as the phone use UTF-8 to encode the characters.

bruno, the keys are changed. in my MP, the voice key = headset key, while headset key = right key. Read this post for details. and also this post.
I've tried to read everything I can so as not to bother you, but I can't find direct mention of this....
I successfully flashed my V360 with your v2 MP, but my locked T-Mobile phone now displays Cingular as the carrier. I know it should still be locked and therefore shouldn't be able to change, but I didn't know how to interpret the Network Settings well enough to really know what was going on there.
Any insight?

I flashed my phone with this MP and it worked fine. But how can I get my tmobile settings back on the phone? I mean, before I had the chance to upload my pictures to the T-Mobile (US) album website, for example, but now I can't see to find this option available anymore. Any idea?

you can set up t-mobile websessions, so you can use http/wap/mms. However, I don't know how to set up tzones. I have removed all carrier-specific stuff in my MPs. If you really need those things back and you don't have backup, maybe you can ask t-mobile to reflash your phone back to original.
P.S. It is a serious mistake that you didn't backup.

Me again. What skiner4moto module did you use to edit the YuetMod skin because i want to change the default icons with the ones i like.Most of the skins i use don't have icons of their own.

Why do you only add "*.jar" files transfer via bluetooth? add more file type such as *.txt *.htm for novels and *.rar *.zip *.7z *.exe for some specific situation. thanks yuet for 2.x update!
hi yuet, last week i flash yuetmod2.0 but i nt satisfy it coz no itunes inside so just now i wan to flash it back to 1.7. the rsd lite show tat is PAsS.however i can restart the phone. it stil remain at the screen-08d0... tat dos mode. i found veri scared but when i flashe back to 2.0 it can restart back and PAss.why this happen

Why not try the latest v2.1? there's iTunes in it. you can get 58R/5AR at en.motofon.ru.

Yuet, reflashed and that bit is already checked (on). I unchecked it, saved it, restarted phone. Then checked it, saved it, and restarted my phone to no avail.
sabspencer, I am not sure about this now 08.A2 bootloader, try to use the flashbackup 2.62 to backup it. Steps & download in 2nd part of this post.
Nicholas, that bit shouldn't have been set on. make sure you get the correct bit. What software did u use to edit the seem? try motokit.

Hellou there! Yuet, I was installing your new 2.2 version on v360 and I have some problems, btw I'm from Croatia. Mobile can't find a network it's written "Just SOS calls"!!! So i can nobody call, like there's no signal! Second problem is about waiting. When i enter in some folder like music/videos it takes all century "Please wait..." after about 30-40 minutes again same "Please wait...". I reflash it two times, once with RSD and with FB3, rebooted mobile few times - and nothing. Still that two problems, what must to do?

nicholas, you did it wrong. you found the wrong offset. you mix up offset and Hex value. see this screenshot.
dijan, please do what I have told Nicholas, and also try to remove the SIM card and re-install.

Hmm, I'm trying what you told nicholas and can't quite seem to figure what I'm doing wrong. Have p2k and typed 004a into the num box and 0001 into the rec box. What do I scroll down to? I can't find that 004 is it the same as 04 on the top and 0D0 on the side?

mason, check this post.
gaston, I can't get ctheme to work, so I remove it in v2.2. You can see a list of jar files in Video, then you can do "copy via bluetooth". If you can't see the jar files, copy the to the video folder first, using phonemanager. read this post about flip-close operation.
Hy yuet!I recently installed 2.2 and i have couple of question: can mp3 be a ring sound? Is it possible to turn on status light on. How can I send jar over bluetooth. I had yuet 1.8 and now 2.2 and I must say "Good work yuet!"
Jan - I had to copy the mp3 over to the phone's memory (click the menu button after highlighting the mp3 -> choose copy) to be able to use it as a ringtone. I haven't figured out a way yet to enable mp3's to be used as a ringtone from the memory card (via 2.2).

jan, so far v2.2 doesn't allow ringtones on memory card. jar files will be listed in Video, from there you can copy via bluetooth. if you see the jar files, copy them using phonemanager to the Video folder first.

k0ss, I don't know how to change it using p2k software. you have to hex edit the Flex, compile a flash file and flash again. Maybe I should change it in future release, since you don't like it.

Hello Yuet, much to seed (sorry for my enghish I am from Roumania and i don't speek very good this language) I have some problems one is itunes i use MP v2.0 because i had 0902 bootloader and if i install him he seed me after install "that file is corrupt" or something like this if i put 0002_0005.seem my MP it's go to the hell (menu brooken) y see that the version v2.2 had itunes integradet (if i don't rong)

hakom, I don't have the firmware for L7. if you want, you can try this v360 version to see if it works on L7.
the Romanian (you don't leave ur name, so this the only way to call u), 1) v2.0 won't support iTunes. 2) I think soon we will have software to unlock 09.02 phone without testpoint. 3) that's a bit funny, and your are lucky. :-)

no, for some reason it only does that on the video camera, it's kinda frustrating too because my v360 doesn't have that much internal memory and i have a 1gb micro sd card, any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for taking your time out to try and help me

By the way, love the MP. Yet, I decided to change my custom startup and shutdown gifs; however, how do you change the custom startup and shutdown audio plus the static opening Loading screen.
Danny, have you tried to flash the MP again? and have you tried another memory card? what brand is your 1gb card?

I've just installed your mp, and it is really great! I had no major issues, all things are working except: I'm trying to activate the "Voice Name" in the phonebook, so I can use BTooth Earphone. Well, when I try to modify it, selecting "voice Name" and Record, I get the message, "press voice key then say name"... well, the voice key (external button on the right side) is inactive here, while it is active when I am ouside of this function (e.g. if I press it from ouside it says, "no voice names are stored...").
p.s.: is it possible to use iTunes with btooth or only with phone speaker?

Luca, I suggest you do a seem edit to change the CameraKey to the VoiceKey.
SEEM 005b-0001, Offset 1F, set value to 2b.
I used to set it this way to preserve the voicename recording function, but not many people use the voicename function, they would like to have the camerakey instead. After you recording all the voicename, you can change it back to CameraKey if you want. this guide is about key remapping.

I'm gonna change the seem as you said... but it is rather strange... currently I have the camera key with camera function on, and the voice key acts already as voice key, except when trying to record the voice... well, if I want to record names it is difficult to 'seem edit'... on the way ;-) I'm not so smart to drive and edit...
Anyway, what abou hearing music and BTooth? Or only speaker or cable earphone?

luca, read this post to understand why I remap the keys. To record voicename, we have to use the "voiceKey". the side button is actually a "headset key". there's a limit on number of voicenames you can record. After you have record all the names, you probably won't need that key any more, so you can change it back to camera key.
I don't think it's the card, because I have a kingston 64mb microsd card that came with the phone, and I put that in, and it was doing the same thing, I can't figure out what's going on with it, but thanks for tryin' though

danny, i have 64MB and 512MB sandisk and my cousin had a problem with a 64MB kingston.. but that could be coincidence ..
Anyways.. have you FORMATED your memory card before using is to store your files?? Can you use it to store other files like pictures or mp3?
I know this sound dumb (but have to ask).. have you checked if your memory card is property inserted? i mean, see if it's not up-side-down or backwards.. It happened to me once :) so give it a try.. good luck.

Hi! Yuet, does v2.2 work with 09.02 bl? At the download links, the 09.02 bl is specified only at the 2.0 version. And another thing: can you (or anybody else using 2.x) confirm wether the b7r firmware is actually faster than abr or if it has better recepion?

please check your bootloader version. if it is 08.A0, 08.A2 or 08.D0, you can flash to v2.2.

Yuet, I followed your guide for LP flashing to the T, but I still get errors. Im on 2.2.1, but its UK english...I was trying to flash with US English only (or at least one that had english)...wont work for some reason.

I just spent 11 hours (seriously, but it wasn't 11 straight hours) trying to un-brick my cell phone. I followed your guide, but I was still not doing something right. I figured out it was because I was trying to use a LP .shx rather than a FULL .shx. Un-bricked it, and Im back up to 2.2.1 fully customized.
I also just realized (about 5 minutes ago after reading all the comments under your LP post) that I could have avoided all of this by just doing the Messages -> Entry Setup -> Primary/Secondary Setup. I just wasted 11 hours of my life, paniking over having possibly having to buy a new phone FOR NO REASON.

can the phone be detected by RSDlite now? what's detected? if it is "s blank neptune lte2", perform these steps. if it is not detected at all, try remove battery, press & hold * and #, the put back battery. if you can get bootloader mode, flash using rsdlite.

gors if you made a backup just write that backup. If you don't have a backup I suggest you flash to a stock MP (original motorola software).

I recommend the motofan download because the other site will provide the locked firmwares (it will lock your phone to the specific carrier even if it is not locked). The second link is just for emergency. I suggest you google search any firmware before you try the second link.

gors, flash to moto stock 5AR or 58R first, then you can flash to other MPs.
Dong, check your bootloader version. (read this guide if not sure.) If it is 08.A0 or 08.D0, your can flash to any of my MPs.

I've successfully installed Yuetmod v2.2 to my V360. It's wonderful.
But I'm sorry to trouble you again as there's a problem in webseesion menu, when I tried to create a new session, the "homepage" field could not be edited as it only accepts numbers (for IP address) whereas my homepage is in text (wap.mobifone.com.vn). I've tried to type the above text in "go to URL" and paste to the homepage field but failed.
Another problem is I could not assign other funtionc to smartkey as it always calls "Phone Manager" or "File Changer" when pressed.
Could you please intruct me where Thank you in advance!

Dong, you can use P2kAdvancedEditor(p2kae) to edit the websession, or follow my steps to hex edit it. The smartkey can be assign function to smartkey in personalise-homekey.

I have solved the problem of "homepage field" in web session of my V360 yesterday using P2K Tool.
But problem remains unsolved in assigning other function for smart key and the former web access button (at the upper-left side of keypad). I've tried many times to re-assign new function by using "personalise - home keys assignment" but failed. Smart key now always calls for Phone Manager and Web Access button now calls for "ring style" (your YuetMod v2's assigned function for this button is for camera and the camera button at upper-right side is for video camera).
Pls advise!

Sergio to deactivate the "open to answer" feature go to initial setup>in-call setup>answer options>Open to answer>off. If this option is not present there you need to edit seem 0032_0001 offset 02 bit 0 on and restart the phone. The option should be there.
For the ring style just go to ring styles and change the Line1 ringtone.

And regardless the melody, i have a diffent ringtone in line 1 and unless i disable ringtone ID it WONT sound...so...S.O.S. lmao =) =)

Sergio please modify as follows:01000010.should work.the address is the same.but as I can see you don't know how to seem edit very well.the bit 0 in that address means that you modify ONLY that bit.example: 00000001-here bit0 has value 1 ant the rest have teh value 0 (numbered up to 7);or 00001000-here bit 4 has value 1(or on).read the seem edit guide again from yuet please if you don't understand how to seem edit.this is a very dangerous operation if it is not donw right
hi i have flashed my l7 from v1.8 to v2.2. everything is working fine on phone ,but when i connect my phone and run motomidman to install any game/app. it gives error
"Unsupported platform. Can't continue." so i cant install anything(except copying jar file to my sd card),similarly no p2k tool is running.

Me again! I noticed that my phone is not real edge after I flashed to V.2.2. I used to have edge with speed 12 Mbps but it is remain 240 kbps. I try to flash back to the previous MP, it is fail on CG1. The internet speed still 240 kbps. Could you please advise how I can get it back.

riswan download motokit and try to use the "fix ringtone detail" function (before that you shoul change the language of motokit to english and in options uncheck the "only display the macros that matches the model" checkbox). Good luck

I've successfully installed YuetMod v3.1.2 recently. Your MP is great!
But now when I connect my V360 to PC in order to run P2K Tools. Windows XP SP2's Add New Hardware Wizard tells that it "cannot install this Hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware: Motorola USB Composite device”. I've tried to uninstall Mobile PhoneTool v4.1 and Motorola Driver Installer (Handset_USB_Driver_32_v2.7.6)and re-install again. When re-installing the latter, there was a error message: "The configuration data for this product is corrupt. contact your support personnel".
(Mobile Phone Tool v4.1 is working well and no problem in connecting to V360).
Please advice how to solve this problem!

dongloc, sorry we can't help much on your prolem. seems that you have messed up the driver in your pc. you need to troubleshoot and clean it up, then reinstall the driver. usually the driver installation tool should be able to solve such problem by uninstall & reinstall.
riswan, there's a CG1 hack to fix the problem. It will be in future release.

Anonymous, follow this guide to install p2k driver. What's your previous MP. If you can't flash from v2.2 directly, please flash to 56R/5AR/58R first, then your previous MP.
CRV1600, the answer to your last question is just above. I don't quite understand your question about itunes icon. and I am not sure about the auto time/date update as I don't use it. to change the view in phonebook, read this post.
TheNoobUser, if you don't know what's flashing, how did you get your phone into such a state? The solution is to flash a compatible MP for your phone again. Detail steps are in this guide.

go into bootloader mode, then flash to YuetMod v2.2 again. if still doesn't work. get the moto stock MP 56R/58R/5AR. flash to one of these stock MPs first, after that flash back to v1.8 or v2.2. If you have P2K Easy Tool v3.9, use it to flash instead of RSD lite.
