Hi Yuet,
I've been looking for some kind of contact address throughout your blog, but I haven't seen anything at all.
So I don't mean to SPAM in here, feel free to delete this post if you like it's in the wrong place.
Basically I just wanted to tell about a chat messaging system that I have developed with Java ME/SE for bluetooth devices. The current version 0.2.2 is pretty stable on desktop computers but it doesn't always work as expected on certain mobile phones.
So if you feel like to, you could give it a go. The code it all GPL so feel free to download it adapt it to your needs if you might.
Any kind of suggestion/critic will be very wellcome.

I was hoping if you could please include an aero style vista theme with your next MP, for the Windows users which love your Monster packs. I like your Tiger mac one very much, but i would really love it if you could also do a nice job of a vista one, with transparancy. Could be included in your next MP. Thanks.
:) I believe I am not the best person to do this vista theme. I am still using w2k, seldom see wxp, and never seen vista.

and im just new in modifying mobs (except for fash/flex never tried it)... couple of tries I had no problem..but now when I open the message > "new message" my phone freezes... and I needed to take off the battery just to turn it off... other applications work just fine (as far as I know) except for the "new message"....
pls help...
deadocs, what did you do to your slvr? did you ever backup before you making mods?
so your phone freezes everytime you select new message? The first thing I suggest you to try is to master reset & master clear. I helps resolving strange problems.
well actualy I do have back ups...and I tried to upload it again....however, it doesnt work...I also tried the master reset...niether work...
I will also try to master clear it.... then check if it will going to work and.
one thing do you think enabling the creat message by editing the seem then putting it back again will work?....
ok neither master clear, and enabling the create message work....It still freezes...I tried to remember the things I did before I get that frozing....
-I changed the extended key (key at the side together with memory card and usb port) into camera, before it was set to web browser.
-I copied a seem file to upgrade my video recording to unlimited time
-downloaded the dictaphone
-changed the attributes of the preloaded pics so that I could erase them anytime I want...and erased some of it too...(now all of those are gone bec of master clear)
deadocs, it is hard to find out the root cause. I suggest you flash your phone to your original firmware or any other MP of your choice.
well... i tracked whats wrong with my slvr... and I found out that the seem 004e-0001 file that I downloaded in motomodders forum was causing the problem, good thing I have back ups..thanks very much for your time mr yuet....your such accommodating person...

I tried the "easy way to edit mma" but I had a little problem Icant change the menus, I want to change the shortcut to audio. I followed the steps carefully but when I uploaded the new mma to my phone It only shows 9 Icons and it has an extra space for 3 icons,and I cant fix it I tried the patch ski in skiman but it doesnt work....I dont know whats the problem, BTW im using your mma.

were you editing my mma? did you put 12 items at first level of the menu, or 9?
no, im trying to edit my original mma, by inserting 3 more items to the tree. am I missing something?... do i have to re-convert the mma after I do some changes with the menu editor?....coz when I uploaded the mod mma, it only shows 9 icons, and its totaly different from what i had arranged it... there are icons displayed taht i didnt want to show at the main menu....

Its a shame you couldnt create a vista theme. It would have really looked nice and with your skinning/creating skills im sure it would have looked imacc. All i can say is please give it a go Yuet. The vista theme is all about transparencys and nice looking icons. Im sure some icon packs for vista can be found on the net.
Yuet, im asking you if can include two mma files for your monster pack. One for the Mac lovers, and another for the Vista/windows lovers. So that we may chose which ones we want to use.
I would love to hear from you Yuet. And good job mate. You are doing a bloody wonderful job. Your work is appreciated.

I'd also like to ask you if there is anyway to edit the MacOSXTiger skin and get the 2 thumbnail picture view just like the Black skin instead of the one big thumbnail view which looks really pixellated.
One more thing, id like to suggest an improvment in the "Black" skin if i may.
Was wondering if it was possible to make the skin more transparent. For example the background colour is too black. Id like to be able to see the backgound picture a bit while viewing my menu. Thanks again Yuet.

so your original mma is 9-icon only. Maybe you should try to edit from a mma of 12-icon menu. ---
well no good...its the same result...tried to edit your mma (well Im sory for that)...I want the Audio Icon placed in the main menu instead of the shortcut...in some reason...I can do it, but I m sure I followed the guide step by step.....
please note that some menu items are not support, such as video record & airplane mode, so make sure you don't put those items in the menu when you follow that "mma converter" procedure.

I would like to make some improvments on the current though.
Turn the skin into a transparent skin, Change the menu form displaying Left and Right to Phonebook and Datebook.
And whatever you think might look good. ;-).

its just that i dont have enough time to resize and edit them myself and add transparencys, and i believe you would make a better job at that since all your icons look very nice.

why not? I am also using imageready to do this stuff. Your icon is good. When you have time, please try a few more different effects, then let's see which most suits the vista theme. and how about those battery/signal icons? any idea?
Great MPs Yuet, really top notch! I just flashed 2.0 and tried to get the web sessions working with custom settings (for gmaps) and came across what I think is a bug:
When editing Web Session entries (entry details) changing the "homepage" setting only allows numbers to be added when text is needed (i.e. http://www.voicestream.com for tmo). I even tried cut-n-paste to get around it, but only numbers are allowed. Other than that, the MP works great!
Keep up the great work Yuet! I dig getting a `new phone' every time you release a new MP ;-)

jas, the B7R is custom-made for t-mobile. I think they did something to it to prevent people from changing the homepage. The way around it is to hex edit the WebSession file.
I can see that being the case for the tmo web session, but I cannot change the homepage for any sessions, even if I create one from scratch. Is that your experience as well? Thanks!! Keep up the *great* mods!!

jas, it is the case in all websessions in this firmware.
you have to hex edit the websession file to change the homepage url. It is not difficult, follow me:
1. put 99999 as homepage in websession
2. download the new websession file
3. hex edit it. (save a copy b4 editing)
4. look for 9.9.9.9.9. in the right text area.
5. replace it with your url. The rule is that you must leave a dot (00 in hex) in between of the characters. after that you should have something like h.t.t.p.:././.y.u.e.t.b.l.o.g... (just an example)
6. save the file and put in back to your phone.

Thanks for the info! make me want to mod my e398 now. :) Anyway, I think it is extremely difficult to do that on V360/L7, unless we can downgrade the bootloader.

Hi Yuet! I've been searching for an answer about my V3x. I've read that it's possible when checking mi POP account to only download the headers for the first time in a Motorola, but I can't set this feature, it download the whole message. Do you know how and if it is possible in my V3x? Thax a lot for your help. Nice Blog you have, very usefull.

hey yuet..i currently flashed my fone with mp v 1.8 and ever since then my usb connections dont work, wen i first plug it in it detects then after a few seconds it undetects even tho the usb is still in plugged into the phone plz help me on this
Which mode do you want to connect? memory card or data/fax mode? make sure you select the correct mode in "connection - usb setting", and make sure RSDLite is not started.

rsdlite is the flasher software, which will turn the phone in data/fax mode, even though you selected memory card mode.
you can try:
use another memory card,
connect to other usb port,
try another usb cable.
or flash the MP again.
I couldn't charge after i flashed to "YuetMod v1.8 MonsterPack" via adapter, but USB charge it works....
hi yuet! i have a question. According to information I know about the Motorola V360, it has 262.000 colors. But when I reflashed your 1.8 MP and tested my fone with MatraxBench, my fone has only 65.000 colors. Why is that? Thank you!!!
I think that result from MatraxBench is not correct. Did you test it before flashing?
