I really want GPS on my v360 with a bluetooth GPS adaptor. That would be awesome. Dun mind if the map is limited, but as long as this baby can keep track of my movements with GPS coordinates, it would be a nice start.
Implement a good bluejacking tool too, cuz its fun!
Improve the performance of the phone so that there's no lag. I know this will be next to impossible... but.. it would be great if the text cursor can keep up with my SMSing speed... and a general performance boost for the phone.
Am I asking too much?

My babies played with my phone over the weekends and when i looked at the phone there were 4 icons displayed on the screen which would only used to show when i pressed directional buttons.
thoes icons are camera, coffice cup, envelope,and video cam icons.
How do i get rid of it so that would only show when i pressed the buttons without restting the phone?
I looked at all the menus and cannot locate the function to get rid of the icons.

Adam, you can actually flash L7 to [YuetMod v1.4]. Just follow the steps.
I guess I'm missing something, or I just can't read. After flashing to Yute 1.3 I was hoping that if I plugged in my phone to my mac and launched iTunes would discover it so I could just drop files in like I do on my RAZR...am I doing something wrong?

Thanks, yes I did read that and was simple enough and that is how I have been using iTunes, just wanted something a little simpler and elegant, I've been spoiled with this mac.
Before flashing I had the Tmobile version with Tzones, AIM, ICQ, and Yahoo messenger what is the easiest way to bring back these applications to my mobile (my girlfriend has the unflashed V360 so was hoping to use her phone somehow.

I think i figured out how to bring back some of my tmobile stuff and found another java messenger that works ok. I just didn't realize that all my tmobile web sessions had been deleted.
Can we delete the other websessions you had installed? What are they good for if I am a T-mobile U.S. customer. I wish I could read Mandarin but, they just don't really teach that here in the States, we are a little backward sometime.
Also, though I've already changed the USB charging with seem edit, what is your reasoning for turning it off in your MOD?
I can't put in the websessions for all countries. If the websessions are not suitable for you, delete them and add your own. There's no harm to delete them.
Somebody and I believe randomly charge the battery at lower voltage can affect the battery adversely. There's no scientific conclusion on this, but for those, like me, often connect the phone to computer, don't want to charge everytime it connects.

I just flash my phone to a MP, and I'm not forget my phonebook backup.
But it's just start noticing me that p2ktools not do it's best, p2ktools failed to backup 2 phone number. It's really important people to me.
The question is is there any chance I can retrieve my phonebook from my full backup, without having to flash back?

juz now i encountered a problem, when i switch on the phone, it wont bring me to sim password entry there, i juz stuck in a orange screen...
i hav to reflash to phone to fix the problem...
any possibility of adding the flashlight tool to the phone under tools or apps. This way if the power/lights in my house go out I could just click to the flashlight tool and the screen turns completely white and turns to the highest birghtness setting, so I can use the screen as a flashlight.
joe, I think this is a very special need for you only. :) You can achieve it by:
1. create a all-white picture
2. set the picture to wallpaper
3. set backlight to continuous
4. set backlight to the brightest
There's a few steps, but I don't think the power in you house will go out everyday. right?
Anyway to make the outside LCD display an analog clock while keeping the inside display showing digital?

eclipzx, no v360 can't play mp3 of 320kbps bitrate.
Hmmm, for some reason I can use the smart key to access the shortcut menu on the outside of the screen and can scroll up and down. When i press the smart key I can acess most 1-19 shortcuts the first time I acess them, then on some I can't access again or ever like itunes.
Also, it looks like some bug is popping up, not sure what I'm doing well have to play with it a bit more but when I am getting a bright white flash screen popping up ever few minutes with crackling noise, then the screen goes black I can hit any button and screen comes back but my wallpaper is gone.

Hello, I downloaded 1.5 very nice. I did not like some of the skins(spiderman, black,RazrV3) I have moto, bluestrike, panther and tiger) Problem is that My default was tiger now tiger is messed up. Only has 9 icons in the menu and not tiger anymore also moto skin that used to be 12 icons is only 9, what happened? Used P2Ktools did the same in v1.3 and this didn't happen? Strange

meki, open the java app "FileChange", then select the file mma_ucp_3x4_YuetMod, then MENU->Apply. Doing this will get the 3x4 menu back.
Instead of having to reflash you entire phone with these MP and loose phone contacts, websessions and other settings is there any way to just have smaller updates that may add new skins or tweek SEEMS. After each major version I spend about 3 hours re-doing all my old stuff. And since I don't have a Mac yet it's a pain getting my contacts back into my phone. I need isync for Windows.

Well, i have had some problems to make a full backup. Fullbackup program just "freeze", and i don't know what i have to do to solve this problem. I'd like (much!!!) to use your MP 1.5a (bootloader A0), but i need to make a backup first. What can you do for help me?

jessie, I haven't found a good way to release just the changes without flashing. Probably a flex in hs format can do the job, but I don't have time to figure it out yet.
steven, the icons are in the DRM, a seperate memory area that stores those graphics. They are not in the user memory area, so you can't find them using p2k software.
leonardo, thanks for your time to read my posts. Have you read my post about backup V360 with 08.A0 bootloader? If you follow the steps, probably the problem is at the USB port or even the PC that you are using. Try using another USB port (those at the back of the pc) or even try it using another PC. Not all USB ports can provide enough voltage for backup or flashing.

Basically it doesn't matter at all. If you like, you can change it back to L7, by changing the seem 0117.
Can the V360 be converted to a quad band international phone and if so how?

Tom, yes, you can achieve it by editing the SEEM. see my post[V360 SEEM] to find out the seem, and read [seem edit guide] if you don't know how to seem edit.
Thanks for the fast response on the V360 world phone fix. Does the quad band enablement in fact unlock the phone for world usage?
I have another question one for you. Will any of your modifications allow the phone to have airplane mode?

tom, I don't have definite answer whether the 850 band works or not, as I haven't had chance to travel to a place where 850 is used. Anyway, I believe it works.
so far, there's no success in enabling airplane mode on V360.
I am not sure what you mean by "all of the feature questions and answers". Slowly I will try to write down all I know about moto modding in this Blog. I hope it will be comprehensive enough.
Can you advise if the RSDLite software is freeware and where to obtain it. I am going to purchase the V360 based on your outstanding work in converting it to a world phone plus other modifications. I really appreciate your effort.

Tom, RSDLite is not freeware, so you can't ask for it in the public, but privately.
I have disclosed all the major mods in my MP in this Blog. Browse around to find it out. However, simply flashing to my MP will give you all the features.

Hi, I don't know spanish, but I guess you want to know which version of my MP you should flash. right?
You must check the bootloader version. Switch off your phone first, press and hold # and * keys then power on your phone to see the bootloader version. If it is 08.A0, flash to YuetMod v1.5a. If it is 08.D0, flash to v1.5d.
Yuet...fantastic job on YuetMod 1.5. I have tried flashing to the other mods out there, and prefer yours over anything I have seen. Thanks for your dedicated work that probably started to make your phone more functional, to helping V360 users like myself. To answer a question above, I did backup my phone contact list using Motorola Phone Tools 4.0 first, flashed, then restored after.
My question is how do you change your internet settings to your local wireless phone provider? I don't often use this function, but internet access is helpful at times.
For internet setting, you can go to website of your phone provider, or call them directly. They will be happy to help u, as you are going to pay for the network usage.
Yuet, I've just put MonsterPack 1.5 on my V360 and it's great. There are a few design flaws from the original v360 that it hasn't addressed and I was wondering whether you would be able to change them in a future upgrade or would know how to edit them through a seem:
1. I want to deny all of the java apps access to the Internet because I have found that some of them access the net without telling you. You are supposed to be able to set the permission for each app as to whether it's allowed to in network settings (you can on a V3i) but when you try to do it on the V360 it doesn't give you the option to change the permissions, it only says "Full access granted". Is there a way to set this permission?
2. I need to keep track of the calls that I make, yet the "Dialled Calls" function only records the last 10, and if you call the same number more than once it only holds the most recent call you made to that number. Is there a way of being able to store more than 10 numbers dialled at a time and not having the same number grouped together so you only see the most recent one?

kuplees, So far no airplane mode on my mod. It is the limitation of ABR, so I don't think there's any difference between L7 & V360.
My mod will permit JSR-75 filesystem access with unsigned midlets, which you can use motomidman to grant full access.
roberto, close the flip would mean cancel the SMS. Anyway, I will take note on this to see if there's a seem edit for it.

Howdy! Thanks for the great posts. Did my first seem edit for Quad Band on the V360 with moto4lin on my Mac and it all went swimmingly...Baby steps. What I'd really like to do is get the Wireless Village IM operable on my unbranded V360. I wish to use my AIM account with this phone and see the folder "/a/wvim" for it on Moto4lin, but don't know if there is a seem edit or flash just for the IM software. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Also, it would be great to resolve the issue with unbranded Motorola phones and voicemail notification with T-Mobile USA. Presently, receiving a voicemail triggers a text message that reads "From: ∆@". After checking a voice message a second text message arrives that reads "From: _@", basically taking the place of the vibrating envelope icon that never appears. leonardo, I believe you can't do that with this ABR firmware. Did your original firmware support that? There could be a technical constraint at Motorola's software, just like we can't use our own ringtones when bluetooth headset is connected.
I dont know if the original support that... I didnt test yet...
But i know the ABR firmware (used in your MP) allow me to change the ring (originals ring only). And if i delete the original ring and put my own ring into originals place using MotoExplorer or another software, its work??? Can i change the "Classic" ring to another, permanently?

Is there anyway to put multiple numbers under one contact.
Leonardo, I don't think you can do it. I believe the ringtones are stored in Flash, instead of Flex (user's memory area), so you won't find those ringtones.
Morris, you can actually store multiple numbers in phonebook entries if you store them in phone memory. You have an option to display only main number for one contact.
Aaarrrgh!!! Think my phone is toast. I did your suggested seem edits for IM/AIM. Then edited the mma_dcp and mma_ucp files with the help of http://www.xlr8.us/hofo/. I actually got the IM up in the menu and entered my carriers' info, but was unable to connect.
I really wanted to get AIM running, not just IM. I re-read the hex edit directions and, having replaced the MobileQQ menu entry with AIM, I read that I needed to fill the extra spaces with hex values of "00". I saved those files and then uploaded them. Right as I was rebooting, I realised I forgot to reset the file attribute on mma_dcp to "4" or "system". Upon reboot I was met with a solid white screen and was no longer able to connect via Moto4lin. I took the SIM card out and tried to restart, got the Moto splash and it just stopped there, with the Moto splash continuously glowing. Basically I can't turn the phone off unless I pull the battery. At this point I believe the culprit to be the missing attribute, or the additional hex characters where not correct. I just don't know what else it could be.
The boot loader for this V360 is 08.A0 and the flex is R4513_G_08.B7.2ER_A. I was really happy about the way things were going and now I don't know what to do. I'm a Mac user. Is there any way to get the original flash re-installed or perhaps your 1.5 MP via Mac? This is a brand new V360...Ouch!!!! Thanks for your help....
brettstar, oh, sorry to hear this. editing mma is dangerous. did you see my warning? There should be something incorrect in your mma file. Now the easy way is to find a PC and flash you phone. or restore from backup if you have backup made by flashbackup.
There is a way to flash your phone via Mac. Recently I saw it, but not tested. and I found the setup procedure is long. You can find the info at this site.

Well, this time my troble is about the SMS message... The number of characters are too short, and the SMS is "cuted" (are right???) in three parts or more... This is not happend in the original firmware (operator Claro in Brazil) to same number of characters. Where i adjust this?

I'm wondering, is it possible to do a flashbackup with the phone in this state? Could I run flashbackup on a PC, do a full backup, then replace the mma files with the ones I already backed up and re-flash the phone? I've backed up all the SEEM's and the two mma files, but was not able to do an entire flash backup on mac. Since flashbackup connects to the phone via boot loader, it seems resonable that this would work. Thanks for your input.

6. I downloaded the phone tools rar but there is no .EXE file therin. How do you start the program?
7. where do find an explanation of all of the changes in your latest mod?
I don't want to change any key functions on the phone. Can these items be done?

I hunted for ascii strings in the yuetmod 1.5d monster pack and found the string "AirplnMode". You mentioned that this is the abr firmware. It must have some way to enable the Airplane Mode, no ?
On my slvr [dcr firmware], setting seem 32:1-byte-0xa1-bit 1 and replacing CarSetting on my mma_ucp file with AirplnMode DOES bring out the Airplane Mode option BUT it is "barred out" with the red-diagonal-in-circle icon.
Have you had better luck ? Mine is an unbranded retail SLVR - I see no reason for them to lock the feature out. Unless they found it was buggy or it actually requires different hardware that the SLVRs with airplane mode have.

Now answer questions from the anonymous. There's so many to answer.

simply set keypad tone to 0 in ringstyle detail.

buy a bluetooth stereo headset.
4. Have a short key press on start and power off key rather than a long press.
a hex edit can do it. buy why do you want this? read my post about 005B-0001 key map to find out.
In my MP, short press will start the phone, but long press is required to shut off, as short press to go to home screen is very useful.

yes, I provide the original seem file for you to fallback to original key map.
Yuet great mod however the L7 left key goes to phone manager, even if i change the setting under options to get it back to PTT it always deflaults to Phone manager again. On a l7 that makes 3 buttons directly link to phone manager which is a bit of over kill :) Also I have tried my butt off to get the ringtones to work off my sd card any idea's im missing?
which buttons for phone manager? I set only the browser for it. Have you tried to restore the original 005B-0001 seem? then follow my 005B-0001 key map to enable the PTT key.
go to ringstyle details and set your ringtones, you should see the mp3 in tf card are listed for u to select.

The V360 is limited to 20 voice activated commands. Is there any way to increase this number? 20 just isn't enough. If so, could you please provide the edit information.

Hi Tom, I never used this feature of V360, but it sounds interesting. How do you record voice activated commands? I will take note on this 20 limit, and see if I can find something.

Access the phone book, then highlight an entry, press the menu key and then "edit", then "voice name". After accessing this menu item the right soft key becomes the record button and you have to train your voice to each entry. After applying the voice command activation to twenty phone book entries the option dissapears. It sure would be great if the 20 voice command activation could be increased. And it would be especially fanstactic if all of the voice activations could be stored on the micro SD chip instead of the 5 meg of ram. I would be most happy, however, to get it changed under any circumstances.

Tom, now I know you mean number of voice names in phonebook. at the moment I have no solutionn to increase this number yet. I would say this is not easy to achieve.

Now if you save phonebook entries in phone memory and you have stored the photos for the entries. You will see their photo on screen if they call you. Is this what you mean?
Sending a Picture with V360
(my s/w version is R4513_G_08.B7.ABR, flex SE6598AXXH10FE)
Go to “Pictures Menu”, scroll up or down using the Up Arrow key
and the Down Arrow key until you find the picture you
would like to send. After finding the desired picture press the Menu key.
You are now in the “Pictures Menu”. Go ahead and select
“Send in Message” Ok ... but there is no choice to send it in a email, it is
always an MMS!
Is there a solution for this problem? A seem edit perhaps? Or could i flash your YuetMod v1.6?

I've flashed your 1.6d on my Cinglar L7. I must say im impressed! Nice job. But I have been running into an issue with the phone telling me I have an unregistered SIM. Do you have any advice for this.

roberto, you can flash YuetMod v1.6. As yours is already ABR, you only need to do step 2 in procedure of YuetMod v1.6d. I have never thought about "sending picture in email". I have no idea.
So far no more SIM trouble. I set up my MMS and web session for Cingular but I haven't tried them yet. I'll keep you posted if I find any other problems. Thanks for the hard work!

Now I would like to flash my phone, but I want to backup all my info, particularly my phonebook and messages, first. I don't have Motorola Phone Tools, but I do have p2ktools... would that work to backup my phonebook so that I could flash your MP and then re-send my phonebook? Is there any way to fully backup a V360 with all the info so that if I mess up flashing MP I don't lose any info?

Noah, I only know MPT can backup/restore phonebook & datebook. (I don't use it myself as I use iSync on Mac to synchronize phonebook & datebook.) I don't know any way to backup/restore message. Is it really necessary? A silly way is to set message storage on SIM card, then re-send the important messages to yourself, so the messages will be stored on SIM card. Another simple way to backup phonebook is to copy them to SIM card, although some info like email/photo will be lost. good luck!

in setting->initial setup, set Display Timeout to 2 mins.

Maybe the usb connect is bad, and maybe your jar file is too big. Have you tried install other jars? some small ones?
Roberto, I haven't compiled a description for ski file, but I think all the description can be found in skiner4moto. Take a look at it.

i like your MP, i tried it on my girlfriend's phone, but i have to many things set up on my phone that i can't lose so i need some help please... :D
can you please tell me which seem do i have to modify to enable the Videos Setup > Styles: Color/B&W/B/A/R/G selection menu?
I also need the seem that allows me to set audio files from the memory card as ringtones and alarm alert.
and finally, i whould need the seem for auto-redial and battery save (if battery save really works because i haven't tried it).

Jules, look at [v360 seem]. and "set audio files from the memory card as ringtones" can't simply be done by seem edit. You need the ABR firmware.
Nothing wrong with the USB connection, all other softwares work properly and i tried many different files 8(

BTW, are you using my YuetMod MP? Did you backup the seem before you changed it? If you didn't, the easist way to get your phone back to normal is flashing it to a MP of your choice. Maybe you can try using motomidman to install jar.

I have been following your MPs for a while now. Even though I haven't installed any yet, I am impressed with the effort you put into the ongoing project.
After finding some time to backup the phone and having the software and your latest (v1.6a) MP ready, I have some questions for you..
Firstly, I have both parts of the MP. Is is correct that only one part is used for the flash, as you have instructed not to decompress the second rar file?
Secondly, does this MP contain a language pack?

HV, winrar or unrar will merge the 2 parts then produced the decompressed shx file. This v1.6a does not contain LP, so your existing language will remain. BTW, you may want to wait for v1.7a, which I am now uploading.

Rick, MultiFlexFlash.exe is ok, but it tends to produce more errors than RSDLite. :) I notice recently google allow both blogger & google account to login. I am not sure why you were denied. Maybe you should open a blogger account.

Hi, Try this. in network setup, change Band from automatic to the band your country is using, 850/1900.
Jules, the headset button is gone if you set it to left key, so you need to set another key to headset key. Please read my posts about flip-close operation for details.

Hi Yuet, great work with firmware to V360! You really rox, will you make monsters for other models ? There is almost nothing to the E770 motorola, and maybe you could do sth with this model (some tuning)
Just a general question, how do you find out what each of these bits do inside of the seems. Is it by trial and error, i.e. change each bit and see what does to the phone?
I don't have E770, so it is almost impossible for me to do anything on that model.
most of the seems are found in the internet. To find new seems, normally you need a copy of seems with the particular function, and another copy doesn't have that function. What I do is to overwrite half of the seem offsets with the half from another seem, then test it. Then I will know which half has effect on the function. Repeat this process until I find the offsets that control that function.
simply trial & error is almost impossible to find out anything.
I am continuing the question about new seems. Say, for example, no one has found the bit in a seem that enables/disables usb charging. How would you find this seem. Would you look for a phone doesn't charge when plugged into a computer, and one that does, and do the method you described above? Sorry if my questions confuse you. Thank You
tony, yes, what you said is correct. I used this method to find out the seems for enabling the PTT setting.

Hi Yuet, I think something strange is going on, maybe nothing to do with the new mp but I can not figure out what is it, when I play some mp3, only sometimes, I get an error saying "nameofmp3here.mp3 is corrupt, do you whant to delete it?" or something like that an then the memoery card is gone, trying to use anything in it give´s me an error, do you know what is hapening? can I give you some other info? I think that the viberate is ok, thise are songs I played before, in fact sometimes works ok for a long time. very strange

I flashed my V360 with these files "R4513_G_08.B7.ABR" and "YuetMod v1.7d". I also made full backup with FlashBackup 2.62. Everything works fine but I want iTAP finnish back. What shall I do?

juan, if you can, format the TF card and try again. Before you format, save your stuff in the card first. Sometimes simply unplug & plug the card may help.

nicholasi, when asking question, would you mind telling me more info? at least I need to know what's your phone? bootloader? current firmware? flashing to which firmware?
I suggest you switch off the phone to save the battery first, then download the 5AR firmware, which you can get from en.motofon.ru. Then flash your phone to 5AR. If successful, try to flash to your preferred firmware again.
Jules, I don't have other version of iTunes. What do you mean by "Original"? You can get mototunes at its website. The option is motomidman is "Corelet". You will also need to setup the shortcuts item to start the iTunes.
well, for instance, the iTunes version that is included in your yuetmod is modified by you, right?... oh... and is it correct that with your version i don't need mototunes?

Jules, you can get the iTunes in v1.6/v1.7 in this page. This iTunes has DB creator, so mototunes is not required.
Howdy Yuet! Are you familiar with the various capalities of the USB port on the V360. Aside from the obvious - charging and USB data/fax and memory card connection - it can also be used as an audio output. Any other options?
Concerning the audio output, I'm a bit stumped by the fact the the output is mono. I have a USB (EMU) to 3.5mm (1/8") audio adapter similar to the Motorola SYN1504A/81019CW. This adapter claims to be stereo, but after many tests it has proven only mono output. I'm wondering if in fact this is related to how V360's USB port outputs audio, or if the wiring of the adapter is faulty. Any insights?
why can't i install more than 30 java applications/games on the memory card/phone memory with motomidman? is this a motorola limitation or a motomidman limitation?

Yuet, I noticed another post about the mini USB (EMU) to 3.5mm (standard headphone) audio adapter and was wondering if you might me interested in investigating this further. These adapters can be aquired very easily - I got mine on eBay from a guy in Hong Kong for USD$1.85, so it wouldn't be a big investment. This adapter is very useful for those who don't have bluetooth receivers everywhere. I use it to plug my phone into my car stereo and home system. It works great, but as I mentioned in my previous post, the output is mono and I know the V360 is capable of stereo. Would be great if you could look into this.

brettstar, r u sure the adapter is for handphone headset? my understanding is that normal audio headset has only 2 connecting points, which are left & right channel. However, in handphone headset, there are 3 connecting points, which are left, right channel and microphone. If you use a headset/adapter not for handphone, there's only one channel connected. That's why it is mono. (just my thought, I am not sure about this thing.)
Alex, there is another firmware has this usb charging option, but not on ABR. Unfortunately that firmware doesn't have many functions of ABR. Regarding "press * for defaults", I don't how to get rid of it. I agree it is not necessary. :)

I think the application you described is possible with j2me, but so far no such app yet. BTW, moto-txt was not developed by me.

I forgot to tell you something, I have no problems with itunes 1.8 (think is 1.8) and my flash. And right now my flash has gone again, I´ll reflash it with my original firmware, maybe the abr firmware has something with my phone
First off, thanks for creating this great resource. I've tried to replace the shutdown animation and sound, but the phone powers off in about 1 second, before the animation or sound has time to play fully. Is there any way to set a delay on shutdown? thanx.

there's no setting to set delay for shutdown animation and sound. You should make them the same length to get the best result.

I'm treating to make some Fonts for v360. Everything goes well, i use the "Binnary Editor" for editing CG4 and make de "FontMap" with the font that i like. Then, i compile it with "SHX Codec".
But it the problem is when i attempt to FLASH, the "RSD Lite" throws an error, some like this: "Error sending jump command...." and the phone show an error too.. Steel in FlashMode and it does't anything more..
I turn off and turn on manually and the phone is ok, but the font doesn't change..
I already tried of many ways and nothing.. always same error..
I must make some Step in special for the v360 ??

Even I edited the FontPacks that it had put in my phone and nothing, some problem..
However, other FontPacks that i make for v620 or c650 work fine :S

just make sure the ramloader in the shx is 08.A0 and make sure the size of the langpack is not bigger than the original one.

your card reader can't read the card? I don't think there is anything to do with the MP. you may want to format your card and try again.
I will try to explain to you, if you understand me.. hehe
1) Decompile a FullFlash with SHX CODEC (With it I obtain the CG4 [LangPack])
2) Open the "Binnary Editor", and open the CG4
3) Press "ALT + M" to Generate Bookmarks
4) Press "ALT + S" to save the bookmarks at name as for example "matrix"
5) Select ALL bookmarks and press "ALT + G" to generate Font Map, save it with the same name "matrix"
6) Now you have 3 files, one is a ".bmp", that is the Original FontMap
(Don't close the Binnary Editor)
7) Ok, now i edit the .bmp adding the Font that I want. When finished, save it, and back to the Binnary Editor
[ GO TO BINNARY EDITOR ]
8) Press "ALT + i", and select the "rft" file with the name that i used of example, in this case "matrix", open that
9) Press "Select ALL" and "Import FontMap" and "Close"
Ok, now close the "Binnary Editor"
Rename the bin file CG4 with a some name that you remember
10) Open SHX CODEC, delete all CG except "RAM DOWNLOADER" and "Language Pack", then select "Language Pack" press
"Replace" and select the CG4 that you edit with BinnaryEditor
Compile SHX file and flash the phone with this.

I'm having an issue with the number of contacts that my v360's phonebook is capable of loading. It is my understanding that the V360 phonebook is capable of holding 1000 contacts - each with up to five phone numbers, email address, mailing address, etc. In my case, I can barely get 500 contacts, most of which have only one phone number and an email address, and a little less than half have two phone numbers and an email address. And this is only after disabling calendar transfer.
Running OS 10.4.7, I am using iSync 2.3. I have a subgroup in my Apple Address Book for my mobile so I can control how many contacts go to my phone.
There just seems that there is a limitation somewhere - either in your MP or in the phone memory. If it is the phone memory, maybe you could advise as to where the V360 phonebook data is stored and if there is a way to allocate more space for this data. Perhaps you can shed some light on this. I had a FONT_REFLASH with BootLoader 08.D0 and WORK in my v360 with BL 08.A0 :S
But, when i was editing this to make the REFLASH don't work...
So, I make a Backup of my LangPack, edit it and all work perfect!
Thank you, anyway, for your help, the information of the BootLoader made me open the eyes and i can solved with this!

I don't know any way to get funlights on v360/L7.
You can use phone manager to send files from L7 to other non-motorola phones. read this post for detail.

Yes, thx, i know that, there are 4 of them, 2 of them are numeric, and symbol, the rest 2 are automatic (ex. i press number 7 twice, and i want it to write Q, instead it's trying to guess the word with letter combination), i would like to use the manual one. I can't comment as I don't use MPT. seems to me there's MPT v4.0 out there. you may want to try, but I don't have it. :) You may also want to try using P2Ktools.

I have some doubts as regards flashing and making a backup of my V360.
My bootloader is 08.A0. If I understood correctly, I can only make a backup using Flashbackup 2.62, and I can only restore it using RSDlite (having previously done some things with shxcodec).
My question is the following: How is it that I have been able to flash my phone to your 1.7 mod using Flashbackup 3.0.053 but I wouldn´t be able to restore my backup?

Gastón, FB2 full backup contains PDS, which is not restorable at the moment. Random may have add support of 08.A0 in newer version of FB, which I am not sure. You may want to try that v360_08.A0 profile.
