Trial version of Random's Flash&Backup 3 is limited to run only 15 times. After this, the program will not start until it will be registred. And backuping the flex memory (CG2) is unavailable in trial version. Get latest flashbackup from Random's development website.
However, it can be modified to backup CG2 and also use more than 15 times. Double click to apply the reg file in the package to remove the 15-times trial limitation. (It is found in a Chinese forum. not modified by me.)
PS: Somehow I found the reg file in the package is not effective. I found another way to continue to use it after 15 times, although it doesn't remove the popup message. It is a reg file. Double click it to apply the registry setting, the number of times of use will be reset.
Download is no longer available, as somebody complain it is warez.
The trick to enable CG2 backup is to uncomment the CG2 definition (by removing the semicolon) in the corresponding .prof file under the subfolder "profiles". The trick to reset 15-times limit can be found in comments below.

With your reg file can you back-up cg2?
My reg file is to reset the 15 times of use. You can already backup cg2 with the modified package.

I have a question.
Im using L7, havent flash any of ur unbelievable flash files but i wana have my own backup original files. I know is using Flash&Backup program, i open the program, phone connected!, we tick Cg2 (flex) only? or all? Then the backup format: is on wat type? Maybe what all i said was wrong.I have no idea how to use Flash&backup.I jus wana have backup files incase. Thanks!
You should select all CGs. If you are not sure, I suggest you backup in more than 1 formats. SMG, SHX and one of the compressed format.

I think it will take less than 10 minutes. However, I have never tried to use FB3 to restore backup. My phone is 08.A0. FB3 is not supporting it very well. Normally I will backup in SMG format, use SHXCodec to compile an MP from these SMG files, then use RSDLite to flash the SHX file.
hey yuet my name is arturo ive beens searching all over for a tmobile firmware for the r4513 software no luck whatsoever i have only found it for the r4517. My question is ihave a full backup from a v360 tmobile branded software i noticed that it has r4513. so i decided to flash it but it bricked my slvr phone. i was wondering is there a way to make it work with the slvr?

Create a file in FlashBackup's directory, named "run.cmd":

START FB3
To use FlashBackup use RUN.CMD instead.

Hi yuet! I'm looking into .prof file for the v360 08a0 (R4513_V360_08A0.prof) with flashbackup3 3.0.2 it seems to be habilited to backup cg2 but in the program menu the read data list only includes cg1 cg3 cg4 cg7 cg15 cg18
Is that all than I can backup with that soft? Is there something else? Also in the prof file there are two options with semicolon:

try if this trick still works.
Open profile file, change cg2 to other name, such as cg9.

Open flashbackup, select "create backup in smg format." After all CGs backup completed, change cg9.smg to cg2.smg, then you can use flashbackup to flash it or use SHXCodec to compile a SHX MP file.
I used FB to create .smg files having changed the line in the "profile" file for my phone from:
CG2= to CG9=
as you mentioned in an earlier post.
Then I change the CG9.smg to CG2.smg
Then I try to use Shxcodec to compile a shx file but come up with a message box that asks:
Necessary RAM Downloader not found. Do you want to use internal RAM downloader?
If I select yes, then it appears to compile correctly
But then if I load this created shx file back into Shxcodec and parse it, this error appears:
Access violation at addresss .... in Shxcodec.exe read of address 00000000
I'm using FB 3.0.2

Parplen, you should first download a stock moto MP for your phone, then open the MP in shxcodec, delete other CGs, except CG2 and ramloader, replace the CG2 with your backup, then compile again.

terrence, you may have edit the wrong seem id. What exactly do you mean "can't connect phone through usb to pc"? can RSD lite detect your phone?
