Flash to it ONLY if your phone is with AER, you will not be able to flash to other firmwares after you flash this AER MP. If your phone is not AER, you should flash to the YuetMod v1.8.
It has everything from YuetMod v1.8 except those java apps, including iTunes, that require special permissions, will not work with AER. Just delete them.

For L7 users, you may want to fallback to the original key mapping. You can write this 005B-0001 seem file into your phone to get back the original key mapping. (This seem file works for V360 as well.)

yo, im the one that figured out this v360 mp works on my L7, wheres my credit. lolz and it does work... just use rsd 3.0 and you'll be fine.
k.kid, seems that some problem with rsdlite 2.7. If you were using 2.7, try rsdlite 2.5 or 3.0 please.

Yuet: Thanks for the mod with AER firmware! You are to be honored. Two QQ: I have an L7, and have flashed it, changed the seem for the key mapping, but I cannot change the phone from V360 to L7, as I cannot download any files from filecloud, for some reason. Can you post the seem file for the L7 change to another host somewhere? Or do you have instructions for the seem edit to be done manually?
Also, I cannot get AIM to work on T-mobile. Do you know if this is normal?

OK, I fixed the two previous issues. I just edited the model name in the SEEM using P2K Tools. (Thanks to your tutorial, Yuet!) And I finally got AIM to signon, problem of reception in my area.
New issue:
When I try to use Dictaphone, when beginning a new recording, I get "Error! player is already closed." java.lang. IllegalStateException:player already closed.
Any idea what this is about? Or anyone else have the same trouble?

brian, Dictaphone might not be able to run in AER, as this AER firmware has restriction on granting permission for java midlets. You can try to use motomidman to reinstall it, to see if it helps. If not, I have no solution for it.
Thanks for the tip, Yuet. I will try that. I had it running on the AER that came with the phone before I flashed your MP, so I don't think it is a problem specific to AER. I will reinstall it and let you know what I find.
brian, dictaphone comes with your phone? I never know that moto would pre-install a freeware.
Yes! Your thought was correct: I deleted Dictaphone and re-installed it and it works fine. If only iTunes were so easy!
Everything else seems to work fine now. I love your reader program! I hope you can find the time to keep working on it. It would be very nice for it to read files from memory without having to put them in a .jar!

brian, you are welcome! I also want to enhance the YuetReader. One problem is that the j2me development kit for mac doesn't support JSR75 yet. I get used to write program in xcode. really don't want to switch to windows.

I downloaded your "YuetMod v4.0 for R4513 AER" using the mofile host. I was trying to extract the MP using winrar. I was finally able to extract it. just to be on the safe side though, how big is the MP suppose to be? When I extracted it, it's listed as being 8.91 mb. Does that sound about right to you?
gerald, please note that you should only flash to this AER MP if your current firmware is AER, because you won't be able to flash to other version if you flash this AER. After decompress the rar files, you should get one single SHX file with about 60mb. if you download from mofile, sometimes it append ".exe" to the files, just remove the ".exe" extension, put the 2 rar files in same folder, then decompress the first one.
Yes Yuet, my current firmware is AER. I was just having issues opening the files. And I don't think they had a exe. extension. I will try to download them again. Thanks for checking back with me.

I am still loving your MP! I have a new small annoyance, though. When I change "Reminders" to "Beep", in Ring Styles, the sound I get is the "Continental" ringtone. Probably not a coincidence that it is the first ringtone in the list? Is the "Beep" sound part of the ringtones that you removed? Do you know how I can get my beep back?

brian, those basic ringtones are in the flash, which can't be changed. The ABR firmware use the "continental" instead of "beep". It is the behaviour of this firmware. One thing you can try is to disable the "continental" alert by changing this seem:
Seem 0032-0001 offset 38 bit 1: Continental alert (1 on, 0 off)

I disabled Continental ringtone in the seem, but there is no change to the reminder. It still uses the Continental tone for reminders. Also, that ringtone is still available in the list of ringtones in Ringstyles. I double-checked, restarted and powered off the phone, but nothing has changed.
Here's a fun new twist: I uploaded an mp3 ringtone to the phone via bluetooth and when I went to select it in Ringstyles, the new entry showed up as "1812 Overture." I restarted the phone and it showed up as the proper name. Some corruption in the ringtone database, maybe?
Also, you mentioned the ABR firmware, but this is the AER.
I will try to play with settings some more and let you know. If you have any more thoughts, I would appreciate it.

ABR or AER, maybe AxR in general, all use the continental as default beep sound. I don't have other idea if the seem can't disable the alert. We can't delete/replace it as it is in Flash, not Flex.
Well, I wonder if it's the Flash, because when I received the phone, it was already AER, but the "Beep" reminder worked. Then, I flashed the phone with MOTOX MP, then re-flashed with all of the original backup except the Flex. The phone worked fine, had the MOTOX Flex, and the "Beep" reminder still worked.
I just uploaded another mp3 file to the phone, and it showed up in ringtones as "1812 Overture" again, but when I played it, it played "Continental!" After I restarted the phone, the real name and sound was there. It appears as if there is a corruption in the database, but I don't have the knowledge to investigate that.
I will continue to play.

I have used your special AER firmware version for V360/L7, it is great and has many good features. Thanks so much. I looked though the manual coming with my L7 and I didn't find it has the so called "airplane" mode. Do you think you can create a AER version with the airplane mode? My phone is made in EU, and my L7 has AER firmware on it. Also I saw your version is good for both V360 and L7, so does the version include all features of L7, or you are going to create a special L7 version sometime later? I appreciate your great work for the moto society very much.

Ron, not possible to add airplane mode to AER yet. As this MP is good for both V360 & L7, I won't create another version for L7. It should have as much features as possible.

I had vodafone live software in my L7 with the AER which I did not like much, I have nagaged to install your MP last week, I havent meet ant problems yet but the menu title for Browser and Web Access under Organiser and Tools have remained Vodafine Live! how can I change them?

albert, I think it is because of the LP. My MP didn't change your original LP, which is made for vodafone. You can remove it by flashing to other LPs.

why do you want the original flash? did you make backup of your original firmware?

I don't know where you can find that version on internet. I have a personal copy from someone, but I don't think I should distribute this copy. For compiling MP using 08.D0, it is a complicated topic. I can't explain it in short.

luis, so you have installed yuetmod v4.0? did you see the description of this v4.0 MP? it is based on AER firmware, so it is sticky. You should only flash it if your phone is already with AER. Didn't you see the warning?
There are 2 ways to remove it. 1. testpoint method, 2. got_moto method.

I wrote that I am gonna buy a v360 and I did it, but as you can probably guess from me writing here that the phone is AER.(R4513_G_08.B7.AER) If you have some time to answer I wanna ask something.
1.I read everywhere including your blog that the AER version is so bad, but acctually for now the only thing is that you cannot install correlets right? What are other drawbacks of thus version? (except for being sticky I know that, but mine is already like that, so there is nothing I can do - and there is no way I am gonna drill holes in mu phone:) )
2. I played with p2k tools the the 0-8-6 version and the 3 version and I totally messed my phone. I don't see certain icons and I can't access the customize menu. Who knows what else doesn't work. So I can't make a back-up of that right? I found a original AER version of the firmware (just in case something with your mp goes wrong) but this has a different flex verison from mine. Is that a problem?
3 and 4 are not very much connected with your mp, but I figured that you might help me with your impressive knowledge of the moto soft.
3.Is there any way with seem edit and others ways, to have the phone display the duration of the call on the outer display, when I hang-up the call with closing the clam? It shows it now but for a mere second and I cannot read anything.
4. I installed the java dictophone and works great when I get the .amr files from the phone with p2k tools. Is there a way to play the files directly from the phone, after I have recorded them and not to have to connect to the pc. And is there a way to activate the default motorola dictaphone somehow?

1. actually there's not a big deal. We can live without iTunes/Mediaviewer. Another drawback is you can't set permission for java midlet, but we have find a way to overcome this drawback. I will write a post about it. Meanwhile, have a look at this post. I don't recommend you to do the patch as you are quite new to modding, but you can follow one of the comments by UGunit to enable setting midlet permission.
2. should be ok. please check your bootloader version to confirm.
3. it is a good feature, but no solution yet.
4. you can actually play it in dictaphone. Maybe your problem is related to the midlet permission.
I do write long posts sometimes, there is just so many things I want to know:)
1.So what is this middlet permission all about?Do I need it?
2.About the dictophone - is ti included in your mp? I'll try install a different version because in this one there is simply no way to play it from. It's just record, parameters,about and exit in the menu.
3. When I pres star, quare and red button when the phone is off it says that my bootloader is 08.A0. That is ok right?

1. you will need it only when you find you need it. :)
2. I think the problem related to the midlet permission, if you set full permission to the midlet, you will be able to play it.
3. it is good, 08.A0 is less troublesome.
4. any RSD Lite version from 2.4 to 3.3. read this post. :) you will know what to do.
5. not sure. I should have one in my email box.
P.S. read my guides. you will slowly pick up. I know my phone, because I screw it up just 2 month after I bought it. I lock it up to claro Brazil. :( so I search every corner to try to find the way to unlock it, and I learn a lot.

I finally did it! After all that talk I flashed successfully my phone to your mod! And it is great! I even flashed my girlfriend's v360 who is quite happy now. She says that it's like having a Mac OS on her phone:)

1. Can I and how to change the picture on the outer screen?
2. Can you explain me once again how to set full permission to this dictaphone - I set everything to ask once and still can't see the files I have recorded so far. Is it the problem that I install the program through bluetooth? Should I use some soft like Midway? And my version is 2.0.1 is there a newer one? Btw the one in your mod worked for a while and then showed: "storage device no longer accesible" and so I reinstalled it with mine.
3. The flip-close operations is amazing!!!! I can deny a call, check the miss calls, really great. But I read that I can dial with phone closed. How to do that? and also I cannot skip to the next track in sounds, I am supposed to hold the up/down volume button right? And on some songs I can see the bar that show how much time is left, maybe in the future will be able to see the name of the song as well? :)))
And did I mention how good your mod is?! :)))

2. upload this file into /a/mobile/certs/root/x509/kjava, then install java apps using midway. you can get 2.8 from motodev. After installation, select that app and click the menu button and go to permissions. Set all the permissions you need to never ask and the app will run with permission.

I still try to remowe RSA from this flash but i can't. Always is the same effect after flashing - Code Corupt :(
If you remove RSA in v4.1 then iTunes will be working so I wait for it

Hi Yuet! It would be sweet if this AER firmware version MP could be updated to match the other packs you've created. I really don't want to risk damaging my phone by doing the testpoint surgery on it.

Never permit
I can not choose Always permit or Permit once per startup. :(

d3mon, 1. don't know yet. 2. it is same as patch other R4513 firmwares, but unfortunately the patch we found does not work for bootloader 09.02. 3. you have to patch the CG1, but you can't do it now as you have 09.02.

alberto, this guide answers your question. You can't install YuetMod v1.8 as AER is sticky. You can flash to AER MP only.

river, 4.0 won't solve the problem, as it was not patched yet. you still have to do the firmware patching. I may do it in the future release, but I don't have time now.
alberto, no, the patching will allow you to install iTunes/other java midlets on your original firmware AER, but it is still AER. You still can't flash to other firmwares
I just used the 4.0 in an AER phone and I seem to get no signal with Cingular. I dont think this is normal but it just happens with this MP. The signal is always at no service.

william, I am not sure what is the cause. no one reported to me before. you can try to change the network setting to see if it helps. try remove and put back the sim card.
so far YuetMod v4.0 is the only MP for AER.

sorry im fairly new i d/l your 4.0 AER mp from fileshare. I can extract the first one just fine but when i go to do the second one it just tries to overwrite it. any ideas?

I've a question: myspeakerphone button don't work at all (neither as speakerphone button or right key).
I edited 005b_0001 seem to change the value of the key (only speakerphone) but it crashed my cell (a italian v360): no wallpaper, no sms, and the red key too doesn't work.
So I reflashed it with your MP.
There's something I can do to have my speakerphone button works?

Martino, what exactly do you mean by "speakerphone button"? You should be able to switch on speakerphone when making/receiving a call. what did u change to the 005b seem?

I mean Headset button (the one I normally use to answer a call)
With you MP the button doesn't work.
In the 005b_0001 seem, I've only changed offset 33 to 33 (instead of 2f).
I've even tried to rechange it but it doesn't work.

that seem edit was correct. did you reboot your phone about changing the seem? if you are using p2ktools to do seem edit, try using motokit or moto4lin. Maybe p2ktools mess up the seem.

martino, glad u know the cause now. To get iTunes on AER, read this post. and I have another guide for using the built-in sound player.

I make testpoint with Pk2 Easy Toll 4.1. All is OK. Now can use all operators.

angel, you should repair pds and flash to v1.8 after testpoint. detail steps are here.

Hi Yuet! This error is when make testpoint with USB kabel and P2K Easy Tools 3.9, not use Smart-Clip and SmartMoto 1.17.

1st time i make testpoint and recive mesage DONE. I use Disassemble, testpoint & repair PDS/unlock V360/L7 metod.
But when i try second time make testpoint see this error in Pk2 Easy Toll:

so the message was shown when you tried to do PDS repair, right? If the first one was successful, why did you need to do it the second time? Have you flashed a moto stock MP after PDS repair?

Angel, I don't understand why you see that error when making testpoint. Making testpoint will only get your phone detected as s blank neptune LTE2. You must have do other thing to get that error.
Anyway, try to follow these steps:
1) testpoint your phone to get it detected as s blank neptune LTE2, then release the testpoint;
2) use P2K easy tool v3.9 to repair PDS;
3) testpoint your phone again to get it detected as s blank neptune LTE2, then release the testpoint;
4) flash to a compatible and working MP using P2K Easy Tool v3.9.
I wan't change yuet v 4.0 MP for stock AER MP, and when i flashed my phone in cg1 group show up error and I only can flash my phon with yuet v 4.0. Sorry for my language
coolos, I think it's the problem with the stock AER MP you were flashing. make sure it is compatible with your phone. and make sure it a stock MP, not a backup from someone's phone.

Before i was changed my firmware to YUET v.4.0 this mp works wery good. In Poland there is a problem with network on YUET v .4.0, and I wish change this firmware .
coolos, I don't see any problem with that file and my MP. Have you tried flashing using other usb ports? show me the flasherrorlog if there's still error.

Ok YUET i was changed RSD lite from 3.2 to version 2.8 and I was flashed stock MP succesfull. Thx for all =)

I SUCCESSFULLY MAKE TESTPOINT AND PDS repair. Now I have my MOTO with:
Boot Loader: 08.A0
SW_Version: R4513_G_08.B7.56R_A
When I try to flash with MP v1.8 with P2K_Easy_Tool_v39, all finish OK, but phone isn't start. Just flash for seconds.
Please help.
anonymous, iTunes is not supported in the stock AER firmware, so just delete it.
angel, what's your original bootloader version? Can you turn the phone into bootloader mode and flash again to v1.8 or other MPs?

Is there any chance of an Itunes app? cos this can be done on AER firmware now. Just ur MPs are great n they wud b bettr with an iTunes version on them
hello yuet am kinda new to this thing...the other day i tried installing itunes on my R4513_G_08.B7.EOR_RB L7 and it said itunes CURRUPT, i followed all the instructions of how to install it but it keeps saying currupt, help plz?
z0ryk, we can patch AER to allow iTunes. I have no time to update this v4.0 version at the moment.
Anonymous, I believe E0R is a branded firmware, and it doesn't support iTunes, unless you patch it.
Is it really impossible to get iTunes with AER and 09.02 bootloader?
I think it is still a work in progress.
hy yuvet, i have recently instaled your mp for aer firmware, it works ok but i've noticed the the phone doesn't vibrate any more. it is normal ? can i edit the seem file to enable it ? what's the problem ? thanks in advance

I tried downloading the two files, but winrar gives me an error when I try to decompress/combine them. Says the files are corrupt. Am I doing something wrong? I tried the files from all three links.

Hi Yuet! I'm from South-Africa. I somehow managed to get my v360v stuck in the engineering menu following some instructions at motorolav360v.net and I couldn't get out of it as my computer didn't pick up my phone anymore so I couldn't fix the seem file. It looks like Seem Changer 2 was responsible for the problem. The backup I made didn't work so I flash my phone with a MP I got someware for the v360 but I got stuck in the bootloader. All the info on this post helped me to get my phone working again and I've learned so much. Thank you for keeping this great blog active for so long and for the awesome MP. (PowerArchiver extract the files without any problems.) Keep up the great work! I hope to make my own MP one day. :-)

Hey yuet I have an L7 and i put on a skin on it...then restarted the fone and it took awhile to restart so i took out the data cable and it made a funny sound(one that i heard before but nothing normally happens) this time when the fone came on the internet icon at the top right hand corner was missing. I went in P2k and try to fix my web sessions but instead i think i skrewed it up more, because when i restarted the fone all of my web sessions were gone and my fone kept restating by itself whenever it feels like. Can u please help me or instruct me what to do?

first i used to flash my phone and it worked nicely with all monster packs. after some months my phone stopped and i gave it for repairing to motorola service center. they simply changed my bootloader to 08.D0. my firm ware is R4513_G. AER. now tellme what to do. i flashed with yuet 1.9a and it worked but now its network connectivity is bad. my frns cannot call me and i get call drops most of the time. i want to get rid of the sticky firmware. tell me if i have to do testpoint or any other method can be used. i also tried yuet 2 n 3 versions but they are not working on my phone. only 1.9a is working with bad reception.
Hi. In order to get Dictaphone to work on V3x I had to add these permissions to .jad file and MANIFEST.MF inside .jar:

The last one is the key, without it you get "java.lang.IllegalStateException: player is already closed". Also, I had to sign the whole application with my motorola developer certificate.
